40. ELECTROMAGNETIC SAFETY
Heating systems with amorphous
metal tape are safe for human health.
The magnetic field generated by the
heating mats is very small.
At distances of 1 cm, the magnetic field
from the heating mat is negligible and
amounts to 0.9 μT.
The electric field generated by the
heating mat of THERMOTAG is 210 V/m,
which is much lower than the standard
value of 1000 V/m at a distance of 1 cm.
The electric field falls inversely with the
distance from the heating mat.
