Project Description:
Biogen Idec Master Data Management (MDM) Implementation is a project mainly based
on Data stewardship. Data Stewards are responsible for the quality of the business data
and are an information expert about a particular subject area. The Data Steward acts as
the conduit between information technology (IT) and the business portion of a company.
These people align the business needs with the IT systems supporting them (both
decision support and operational). The data steward has the challenge of
guaranteeing that one of the corporation's most critical assets--its data--is used to its
fullest capacity and not to be Redundant.
Role and Responsibilities
 Manage and lead the team of 30 data stewards and 2 team leads
 Create framework based governance around Operations, Quality, Training and
Complaints.
 Played a major role in Processing, Review, Analyze, Deploy a risk based approach
around operations quality and thereby ensuring optimal audits are performed for each
process.
 Understanding the Business Process & suggestions for change in business processes.
Review & enhance team performance through continuous improvement of operational
staff in areas such as process & skills, eventually leading to high employee
engagement and customer satisfaction and Bringing similar processes together under
one team or location.
 Creating end to end processes. Reduce handoffs between people and teams as much
as possible
