23. As An Interior Designer This Project On Space Planning Has
Made Me Aware That A Space Of 6’x2’x6’ (L x b x h) Has Been
Made More Functional By Creating More Space From The Space
Provided To Us.
I Have Created 129 Sq. Ft. From This 72 Sq. Ft.
24. I have used contemporary concept of placement of
doors in my wardrobe.
Half overlay concept in all
three doors.

27. During The Tenure Of My Study Of 1 Year Residential Diploma I Was
Assigned A Case Study For Space Planning And Then We Devised A
Plan According To The Case Study For The Design Part.
In That Plan The Work Assigned To Me Is The kitchen Of That House
To Be Designed According To A contemporary style.
I HAVE TO DESIGN THE KITCHEN OF THE HOUSE WITH
CONTEMPORARY STYLE.
introduction
28. I was expected to design the kitchen of a house by my client
(imaginary client) as per I was directed by the plan on
contemporary style. The Plot Size Is 38’ X 42’ And The Space
Assigned To Me For Designing Is 12’ x 9’

Thinking differently and making it possible in every possible
impactful manner is “Style” .
While choosing a particular style we have to keep in mind the
factors like the Space available.
I have studied about various styles. Some of these are shown
below
style
40. Contemporary interior design is an exciting, collective celebration of what is
current and new. The look is definitely modern with interesting clean,
angular, curved lines holding the space together.
Contemporary style is often defined by clean lines with a casual atmosphere,
open spaces, neutral colors, and elements and materials inspired by
nature.
53. After considering the client’s requirement, needs and
selecting a particular style Now I have to see the personality
of the space and what types of activities performed there so
that my design should be more impactful and have a direct
effect on viewer’s mind
54. Personality of the space
Like human beings every space has its own
personality. The space I am supposed to
design is a kitchen area. A kitchen is
a room or part of a room used
for cooking and food preparation.
The personality of a kitchen is Refreshing &
Active at the same time it is hygienic too.
The Area Should Be More Lighted Up And
Airy. A person should love to work in
kitchen.
The main function of a kitchen is cooking
or preparing food but it may also be used
for dining, food
storage, entertaining, dishwashing, laundry
.
55. Rinse vegetables or fruits
Cooking and food preparation.
Dish washing.
Food storage.
Chopping.
Backing.
Serving.
Mixing and grinding.
Activities in that space
Mixing & Grinding
Dish Washing
Cooking & Food Preparation
Chopping
57. Before starting up the design part I have to select a Mood
Board and a Color Scheme.
After doing a lot of thought process I selected Refreshing
mood for my space that I have to design and the color scheme
that I chose is analogous color scheme.
