Joanna Thornton is a Director within the Interim
Management division at Veredus and has over 10 years of
experience within the recruitment industry.
Since joining the Veredus team in 2007, she has
specialised in appointing interim managers for both
Local Authority and Not for Profit sector clients. Her
track record has included a wide range of roles including
CEO, Finance and Resources, Transformation, HR,
Procurement, Operations and Fundraising Directors.
Both sectors have increasingly requiring interim
managers to help them through periods of rapid change
and downsizing, and Joanna has a strong track record of
providing program, project and change management

Rob Hilyer is a Director in the Not for Profit practice
at Veredus in London. As part of the in the interim
management division his focus is on working with a
variety of organisations in the Third Sector, sourcing
Directors, Chief Executives and Project Managers.
Prior to joining Veredus Rob established and ran the
interim management division for a Not for Profit
recruiter, after spending many years supplying interim
services to various areas of local government and Housing
Associations.
Rob graduated from Manchester University with a degree
in History and Economics, his personal life is currently
dominated by a young family.

Catherine Andrews has held senior roles in Not for Profit
organisations for over thirty years, with the last twenty
as Director and CEO of local and national charities.
Her experience spans mental health, employment
and training, environment, education and community
organisations. Most recently Catherine was CEO of
Learning through Landscapes, the national education
charity.
As Head of Practice with Veredus, Catherine has recruited
the Chief Executive of MNDA, Malaria Consortium,
Earthwatch UK & Europe and the Finance Directors
of AAT, Future Cities Catapult, Prostate Cancer UK,
Children’s Society. Catherine is currently recruiting
CEO’s for very diverse social enterprises including Water
& Sanitation for the Urban Poor, Mytime Active, Global
Action Plan and Worthing Homes.
A Fellow of the RGS and RSA, Catherine has served as a
Trustee / Governor for a range of organisations including
a housing association and a primary school. She is
currently a Judge of the Green Flag Awards Scheme.

Alex has worked in the recruitment of executive and non
executive positions since 2010 where he has focused on
Chief Executives, Directors and Board level appointments
in the Not for Profit Sector
Alex’s clients have included, at Non Executive Level; RSA
(Chair), IWF (Trustees), Hyde Housing Group (Trustees),
Gingerbread (Chair), MacFarlane Trust (Trustees).
Executive Level; Chartered Management Institute
(CEO), Hanover Housing (CEO), Directors; British Heart
Foundation, RSPB, Ambitious about Autism, Scope,
Alzheimer’s Society. He is currently recruiting the Chair

to charities, universities, foundations and cultural
institutions, including; Barnardo’s, NovasScarman Group,
University of Central Lancashire, UnLtd – The Foundation
for Social Entrepreneurs and the V&A Museum where he
provided strategic, operational and fundraising support.

Montse joined Veredus having specialised in executive
and non executive search for the top corporate property
consultancy firms such as Savills, CBRE, Lambert Smith
Hamptons, having placed a number of Director level roles
within Corporate Advisory, Industrial Agency, Valuation
and Office Agency teams. Clients included: Lunson
Mitchenall, Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, Jones
Lang LaSalle, Colliers, BNP Paribas Real Estate, DTZ,
Gerald Eve, Deloitte Real Estate and John D Wood.
Before moving into recruitment, Montse worked for 14
years for CB Richard Ellis as part of their brokerage team
in Commercial and Industrial real estate working for
clients such as Goodman, Prologis, GE, Deka, Heron and
Axa amongst others. She was later recruited by a client –
a logistics park developer and manager - Abertis Logistica
overlooking and working on the coordination, marketing,
lease negotiations and business development of their
assets across Spain and Portugal, as part of an extensive
network of logistics parks developed by Abertis Logistica
in Europe and Latin America.
