Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

Prediction of Electrical Energy Efficiency Using Information on Consumer's Ac...
Energy efficiency has been important since the latter part of the last century. The main object of this survey is to determine the energy efficiency knowledge among consumers. Two separate districts in Bangladesh are selected to conduct the survey on households and showrooms about the energy and seller also. The survey uses the data to find some regression equations from which it is easy to predict energy efficiency knowledge. The data is analyzed and calculated based on five important criteria. The initial target was to find some factors that help predict a person's energy efficiency knowledge. From the survey, it is found that the energy efficiency awareness among the people of our country is very low. Relationships between household energy use behaviors are estimated using a unique dataset of about 40 households and 20 showrooms in Bangladesh's Chapainawabganj and Bagerhat districts. Knowledge of energy consumption and energy efficiency technology options is found to be associated with household use of energy conservation practices. Household characteristics also influence household energy use behavior. Younger household cohorts are more likely to adopt energy-efficient technologies and energy conservation practices and place primary importance on energy saving for environmental reasons. Education also influences attitudes toward energy conservation in Bangladesh. Low-education households indicate they primarily save electricity for the environment while high-education households indicate they are motivated by environmental concerns.

We face many problems in our locality as well as in our homes like water problems, electricity problems, etc. So,to overcome this problems effectively and efficiently we made this project “HURDLE FREE HOMES” This is basically an android app which helps people of locality solve their problems. Technologies used are android and firebase.
- 3. IMPORTANCE Now a days android apps are very useful and helps to solve many problems in our daily life. Usage of android app is very simple. There are two types of logins user and admin
- 4. SECURITY Lot of security has been implemented in this project If any user register in this app those details will be stored in user's table of database and it will send a request to the administrator If he accepts the request then users details are stored in Registered user’s table.
- 5. If administrator rejected the request of a user then the details of the user is removed from the database permanently. If a person login as admin then the following will be appear 1)Announcements: Here we can give announcements which will be appear to the users of that locality .No other person from other locality cannot access the information. 2) New Users: Users who are requested for the admin acceptance will appear in this section 3)Notification: Any problems that are addressed in the locality which comes under maintenance will be appear in this section.
- 6. 4)Update Info: Administrator can update information and personal details of workers in the locality like watchman ,cleaner etc. In the same way user login consists of several features like: 1)Announcements: announcements posted by the admin will appear. 2)Workers info: information of workers will be appear like phone number and many other details.
- 7. 3)House hold issues: we can address our house hold problems like electricity ,water ,and other issues. 4)Street problems: we can address the problems in the streets which will be appear to the admin to solve it. 5) Payments: we can do payments for monthly maintenance ,wages for workers etc. In the same way when the plumber or electrician logins into the app he can see the problems which are reported by the users and he can contact them

- 9. CONCLUSION In today’s growing world we don’t have enough time to take care of house hold and locality issues. This app helps us to bridge the gap to clean and green society. Using this app problems in the locality or a community are addressed and solved fast.
