The Government of Gujarat, Education Department by way of a notification had constituted two different Committees called “Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC)” to regulate the admission of candidates to the professional degree courses respectively. The mission assigned to these Committees is to carry out the counselling process in a fair and transparent manner. The admission process is conducted by these Committees strictly on the basis of merit and the preference of the candidate.

The Government of Gujarat, in the Legislative Assembly has passed an act, Act No.2 of 2008 called "Gujarat Professionai
.Technical
Educational Cott"g", or lnstitutions (Regulation of Adrnission and Fixation of Fees) Acl, 2A07" to make provisions
for regulation of admissicn in the professional technical education colleges or institutions in the State and fixation of fees
in such colleges or institutions and for matter connectecl therewith. As per the powers conferred to State Governrnent'
in Section 20(1) of tlre said Act, the Governrnent of Gujarat, Erjucation Department by way of a notification had
constituted two different committees called'Admission committee for Professionai courses (ACPC)" to regulate the
admission of candidates to the professional degree and ACPDC (Admission Committee for Professional Diploma courses
for regulating professional diploma courses.

e The Committee shall ensure that adnrission in the Government Seats and the Management Seats are
made as per the merit iist prepared and that no candidate is admitted against the Management seats
unless his name appears in the merit list published by this committee'

The state Government have decided to grant admission in Degree Engineering,
Grant in aid and self finance institutes in the state by considering GUJCET, as
examination from admissi on year 2A17.
ln this context, the state government has published Government resoiution dated 19.11".2016, the copy of same is available on
committee's website www.jacpcldce'ac'in. The important provisions of the said Government resolution are as undei.

by this committee to Degree Engineering and Degree/Diploma pharmacyafter std Xll science in Government, Grant in aid

The following provisions are made in preparation of merit for admission to Degree Engineering and Degree/Diploma

5.1 For admission to Degree Engineering and Degree/Diploma Pharmacy, the merit list will be prepared based on sixty
percentage weightage of percentile marki obtained in theory subjects of Xll science opted group subjects
(A or B or AB) and forty percentrg" *ulgnt"g" of percentile marks outained in State level GUJCET examination and
admission shall be granted based on the saiJ merit list in lines with prevailing admission related notification (ru!es)
published from time to time'
5.2 The admission for the year 2ot7 shall be granted on the basis of merit list prepared by taking into account sixty
percentage weightage of percentile marks in theory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology of all
four semesters examination of std. Xl and Std Xll science conducted by Gujarat secondary and Higher secondary
Board in March, 2oL7 and40% weightage of percentile marks of GUJCET examination in the corresponding year'
5.3 However, from March 201g onwards admission shall be granted on the basis of merit list prepared by taking into
account Sixty percentage weightage of percentile marks in theory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/
Biology of Xll science annual Examination conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher secondary Board in March'
2018andonwardsand4o%weightageofpercentilemarksofGUJcETexaminationofthecorrespondingyear.
5.4 ln case of other recognized boards, excluding Gujarat Secondary and Higher secondary Board the admission from

1. Candidate not required to submit the documents or Document verification
Student who do not wish to take benefit of any type of reservation or Tuition Fee Waiver (TFWs) and
whose marks are automatically fetched from data obtained from respective boards during the time of
registration and those who belong to Open category need not to submit documents at help centre.
2. Candidate needs to submit the documents or Document verification at help Genter

6. [G] Reporting at lnstitute:
lf the admitted candidate is NOT willing to participate in the next round of admission in order to upgrade his admission,
he has to immediately report to the allotted lnstitute for enrolment with "lnformation Letter", 'Admission Slip", Bank
Challan / Online Fee Receipt and photo copies of all documents. The candidate is not required to submit original
certificates/documents at the institute. Here, the candidate is not required to make any payment in any mannerfon any
head until and unless the admission of the current year is declared closed officially by ACPC or notified by this committee.
The committee shall notify the last date of reporting at institute, failing which the allotted seat will be treated as cancelled.
Guidiline for Vacant Seats admission, Cancelation & Fee refund :
The candidate willing to participate in vacant seats round at institute level shall have to follow the steps as specified in
notification/Booklet to become eligible for vacant seat round of admission
lf a candidate takes part in vacant seat admission round without cancelling his earlier allotted seai in online admission
process and secures seat in vacant seat round. The cancelation and refund of seat already allotted to him in online
counselling shall be as per prevailing rule of notification. ln such cases, since the online schedule of cancellation is already
over, the refund will only be applicable if the seat vacated by candidate gets filled in the vacant seat round at concerned
institute. lf the seat remains vacant, the candidate shall not be eligible get refund of token fee paid and the institute can
demand one semester fee. Thus the aspiring candidates are advised to take note of this provision and finalise their status
of admission before completion of online cancellation process.
Grievance redressal mechanism
Any candidate, during the period of admission process, wishes to lodge any complaint/grievance, he has to register his complaint/
grievance through online by login in his Login lD. The candidate can view the status of his complaint in his account. There exists
a appropriate redressal mechanism for grievance/complaints filed by candidates.

Financial and other scholarship/assistantship for meritorious and needy students of all classes for
pursuing Higher Education in the state of Gujarat

O For scholarship in Diploma admissions, the candidate should have passed the Std X from a recognized board from state
of Gujarat with minimum 80 percentile in the board examination
For scholarship in Bachelor degree programs, the candidates should have passed Std Xll Science/General stream from
recognised board from the state of Gujarat with minimum 80 percentile in the board examination.
For Diploma to Degree students the minimum eligibility criteria for availing the benefits of the scheme is a 55% marks
at Diploma level examination from recognised university situated in the state of Gujarat.
The candidates whose parents annual income is not mbre than Rs. 6,00,000/-,per annum shall only be considered eligible
for the said scheme.
The State Government has approved the validity of income certificate for three financial years from date of issue. Accordingly,
a candidate who has a valid income certificate, need not have to issue it again for next three years financial years.
(A) Tuition Fee Scholarship:
a For admission in Medical and Dental Graduate Level programs in Government Approved self finance institutes,
candidate is eligible for 50% of the approved annual tuition Fee or 2,00,000/-, whichever is less.
For admission in Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Nursing, Physiother,apy, Ayurved, Homeopathy,
Paramedical or Veterinary Graduate Level program in Government Approved self finance lnstitutes, candidate is
eligible for 50o/o of the approved annual tuition Fee or 50,000/- , whichever is less.
For admission in BSc, B.Com., 8.A., B.B.A. or BCA Graduate Level program in Government Approved self finance
lnstitutes, Candidate is eligible for 50% of the approved annual tuition Fee or 10,000/-, whichever is less.
For admission in Diploma courses in Government Approved self finance lnstitutes, Candidate is eligible for 50% of
the approved annual tuition Fee or 25,000/- , whichever is less.
(B) SpecialProvision:
As per provision of the said GR, due to reseivation policy the reserved category candidates are allotted admission
on unreserved seats in order of their merit, these equivalent number of general category candidates who gets
admission in Self financed lnstitute instead of Government Medical, Dental and Engineering institutes.
These displaced candidates shall be given assistance in tuition fee to the tune of difference between the fee of
allotted self financed institute and Government institute without any upper limit in the difference of fee.
(C) Hostel Accommodation and food assistance:
For Graduate or Diploma level students who has not secured admission In Government/Grant ln Aid hostel and
who is residing outside of their residential native Taluka place is eligible for Scholarship of Rs. 1,2OO per month
(for maximum 10 months) in a year.

A onetime book- instrument assistance in the first year of admission for the entire duration of course is available

forces who are martyred due to act of war, terrorism, Naxalite activities during their service period, there shall be no limit

scheme. The candidates applying under this class shall have to submit a certificate from Director, Sainik Welfare board/
Competent authorities to this effect."

Department of SocialWelfare and Justice, Government of lndia has issued a notification No.11017O1/ 2008/SCDA date 31.12.2016
