National Stats Con’t 20% of teens smoked a cigarette due to peer pressure to try and fit in. 66% of teens drank and 25% of that recorded going on a drinking binge to try and gain popularity. 25% of girls used illegal drugs to try and raise their self-esteem. 1/3 of teens have taken part in sexual intercourse to fit in with their “buddies”
5. School Statistics 60% of teens in school reported to have done something to fit in with their friends. 35% of the student body says that reputation can affect how a person acts who normally isn’t popular. 45% see reputation as not being fair.
