3. Relation to Twisted
The reason I did this survey was to
relate to the book “Twisted” by Laurie
Halse Anderson
In Twisted a big part of the story has to
do with a party with underage drinking
4. The Survey
The survey is titled Underage Drinking/
Partying Survey
It has 10 questions about underage
drinking
The questions were answered by 20
students of West Seneca West Senior
High
5. Reasons for doing this Survey
One of the reasons I did this survey
was to give you the reader, cold hard
facts about underage drinking
Also by doing this I hope to influence
people to make the right decisions
when it comes to underage drinking
6. Stats
Out of 20 people surveyed 19 people
have said that have been to a party
where minors were consuming alcohol
85% of the people surveyed said that
they were at a party where people were
using marijuana which as of the
moment is an illegal drug
7. Stats (Continued)
When asked the question do you
consider yourself a responsible drinker?
19 said yes the other has never drank
4 people said obtaining alcohol was
hard 2 said they had a fake id and 14
said it was easy none said impossible
40% of students surveyed say the
binge drink
8. Research
My outside info came from Monheit Law
http://www.monheit.com/teenage-
drinking/statistics.asp
12.5 Million underage drinkers a year
74% of 9-12 graders had consumed at
least one alcoholic drink
9. Compare/Contrast
The statistics that I had personally
gathered and the stats from Monheit
Law seemed pretty similar
95% of the people I had surveyed said
they drank before and they had 74%
which is close considering I only
surveyed 20 kids
11. Conclusion
As I conclude this power point
presentation I have come to the
conclusion that underage drink cant be
stopped you can only hope to contain it
And since we can not contain it we
should teach to drink responsible and to
always be a safe as possible
