2. Reputation: the estimation in which a person or thing is held. Especially by the community or the public generally. Body Image: subjective picture of one's own physical appearance established both by self-observation and by noting the reactions of others .
3. IMAGE VS REPUTATION IMAGE REPUTATION Is built: you have to create and promote and image. It is very much something you build to show others. Is a cost: you pay to create it and you pay to project it. The more image-conscious your market, the more it may cost. Is earned: a reputation is something you gain over time through your actions. It is what people see in you. Is an asset: reputation has a direct link to the bottom line. Ex) organizations with good reputations are likely to attract more customers. It will also act as a buffer.

5. Why this topic? We wanted to find out more on how the school is with their reputations and what they’re involved in outside of school. We wanted to know if our teenagers fulfill the image of how other people classify us.

West Seneca West Results... 16.3% of students think that image is everything. 67.3% of students know a teen mother to mother-to-be. 47.3% of students know someone with a eating disorder. 34.5% of students smoke cigarettes or use tobacco products. 69% of students know of students who are sexually active. 54.5% of students have been drunk. 12.7% of students have taken diet pills, liquids or powders to lose or gain weight without a doctor’s order.

West Seneca West Results... 25.6% of students stated that 76-100% of their friends drink alcohol. 27.3% stated that 51-75% of their friends did. 23.6% stated that 26-50% did. 30.9% of students have been offered, sold or given illegal drugs at school. 25.4% of students have been in a serious fight in school. 30.9% of students have been hit, slapped or physically hurt by their BF/GF. 27.3% of students have attempted suicide.

National Statistics 9.2% of students nationwide have been hit, slapped, or physically hurt on purpose by their BF/GF. 16.9% of high school students had seriously considered attempting suicide . 12.3% of high school students had gone without eating for 24 hours or more to lose weight or to keep from gaining weight. 6.3% of students nationwide had taken diet pills, powders, or liquids without a doctor’s advice to lose weight or to keep from gaining weight. 3 in 10 teenage girls become pregnant at least once before they reach age 20- more than 750,000 teen pregnancies a year. 8 in 10 of these pregnancies are unintended and 81% are to unmarried teens. 46.8% of all high school students report they have had sexual intercourse.
9. National Statistics Half of American young people have tried cigarettes by 12th grade. Young adults ages 18-25 had the highest rate of current use of tobacco product. (44.3%) 25.4% of students had been offered, sold, or given an illegal drug by someone on school property . 23.4% of youths ages 12-17 reported that they had gotten into a serious fight at school. 52% of teens report that they have sexually active friends. 10.8 million people ages 12-20 reported drinking alcohol. 3 out of 4 students have consumed alcohol by the end of high school.
10. Conclusions West Seneca West statistics were higher than national. Image is not everything at West Seneca West.
