 Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (3 projects completed within 1st year) Projects
included Printing, Reflow and Wave solder processes.
 Developed and implemented a 5S program at Hunting. $170k savings from lost parts
found, Increase production time by 10%.
 Implemented a component storage and retrieval system. From Kanban to VSR(Vertical
Storage Rack). This reclaimed two thousand square feet of production area. Also
resulted in an average 20% reduction in the job kitting process cycle time.
 Implemented frameless stencil system at the printing process. 50% cost savings over
standard framed stencils. Average yearly savings of $42k
 Developed an SMT process for all HMP (high melting point) solder products. This
resulted in a 60% reduction overall in cycle times.
 Defined, purchased and implemented a new SMT Machine platform. This new platform
reduced overall product change overs by 40%, overall production cycle times by 30%,
overall machine programming cycle times by 40%.
 Implemented CAD/CAM machine programing software (Unicam FX), this resulted in a
70% reduction in machine programming cycle times. Also able to reduce manpower by
2 engineers. 180k per year savings
 Implemented a Production/Quality tracking system (Siemens PLM software –
Technomatix). This increased production tracking by 80% (Ability to locate product via
software reports), this also reduced the Global Account Managers and Production
Supervisors work load by 50%. This software provided a reporting system for internal
rework/repairs.
 Implemented a Time management system for the engineering staff. This allowed for a
25% increase in productivity by all engineers. Monthly reports generated by this system
increase visibility and project management.
 Implemented an automated componenttinning process utilizing SN96. This resulted in
a 70% reduction in cycle times, a 40% increase in production and 50% reduction in
overall defects. This system eliminated the need of 4 permanent employees, 150k per
year savings.
 Implemented a color chart methods program. This increased production by 30%, on-
time delivery by 20% and reduced defects by 25%.
