Counseling Practicum and Internship at Trinity Counseling and Training Center (January – December 2015)
Many of the courses, including the Individual Counseling and Group Counseling courses, included a lab component that
allowed for practice with client actors. I found these labs to be helpful in developing the counseling skills I use every day.
Through the Fundamentals course, Counseling Practicum, and Internship, I learned the practical application of counseling
theories to real-world situations.

Relevant Work Experience
Graduate Intern, January 2015 – December 2015 Trinity Counseling and Training Center
As a graduate intern, I counseled clients with various psychological disorders, providing competent theory- and evidence-based
care. Duties included scheduling, confirming, and collecting fees for sessions, gaining written informed consent, communicating
with other healthcare providers, administering assessments, and collaboratively developing and revising treatment plans.
Peer Writing Tutor, Fall 2006, Fall 2008-Fall 2011 Loyola University Writing Across the Curriculum
In this setting, I got to work one-on-one with peers in various stages of the writing process including brainstorming,
writing, and revising academic and personal written works. This provided experience in working with clients on their level,
helping them to identify and achieve their personal goals.
