Risk Assessment
As Director I am responsible for a mass of these risks, which makes it vital that I look after my Actors and anyone else that could be
assosciated with the filming process. This will be achieved by complying to a set of health and safety rules.

How to prevent/overcome
this
If an illness happens on my behalf
then filming will continue unless
urgent attention is needed, in that
case the film will be rescheduled
for the nearest time available. If an
actor falls ill or receives an injury I
have substitute actors to take their
place.
If either the actors or myself have
to attend another event at the same
time as scheduled shooting
unexpectedly. Then will we
reschedule the shoot for the
nearest available time. To keep
track of availability I will keep in
touch with both of the actors to
assure their attendance on the
date.
The weather can be unpredictable
and can change at any moment,
which could prevent filming for an
outdoor scene. To overcome these
problems I will check the weather
forecast for the scheduled dates
and check it again several hours
before filming. This is to ensure
that both the equipment and actors
are safe.

The camera could run out of
battery whilst shooting or run
out of memory. To ensure
neither of these things happen I
will charge the camera before
every shooting and have 2 5gb
memory cards on standby.
During the film I have a baseball
bat prop that is used to attack the
zombie. In order to avoid any
injury from this I will have to make
sure my actors are fully aware of
the scene and choreograph it to
perfection. It is also their
responsibility to take it seriously
and not be childish.
As the film is set in my home there
is a chance of the dogs being in the
house during shooting times.. To
overcome this problem I will
contain them in a room where no
filming is taking place. Also is the
actor’s responsibility in the case of
confrontation to not provoke them.
