ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
What? What is the impact on my film? Legal impact
Certificate of my film I will have to make the certificate of the film in
accordance to what is going to be in my film
certain things are inappropriate for certain
audiences. So for example to avoid my film
being rated a 18 I will need to make that there
is no: Sexual content, Blood/gore, Drug
use/abuse and other explicit things that would
be appropriate for anyone under the age of
I will have to rate my film based on this in
to keep in accordance with BBFC who
the age ratings of films and rates them so that
they are suitable for whose watching them.
we must stick to their rules as if not then they
are likely to rate my film at a higher age rating
which wouldn’t be too high for my target
audience and this could hinder the amount of
people watching it.

short film that might be seen as offensive to
people, for example I wont be including
offensive language, symbols,
The legal impact of me putting something
offensive in my short film is that I could receive
complaints from people who have watched
short film and found something in it that is
offensive, this could decrease the popularity of
my film with the public. Also if my short film
was found to have offensive material it could
be reported to OFCOM who could then make
me remove my film from the platforms it is on.
