The station Capital is definitley aiming for a youth market. All of the songs played are top 40 hits, and never stray outside the Pop or Electronic genres. Jingles are used
between every song to reinforce the name of the radio station. There seems to be very little talking in the show, and what there is concerns topics that would apply to all of their
listeners, even if they don't really make sense. To keep people listening there are competitions that are very easy to enter, but could open at any time by playing 2 songs back
to back. They even explicitly say it is for students short on money, so that is another confirmation of the station's audience. Within the advertising there seems to be a target
audience of 16-22, with adverts for holiday companies, apprenticeship/university oppertunities for students leaving school or sixth form. There are also adverts for students
starting in uni, and paying the bills for themselves, such as Now TV, Tesco Mobile and BT Plus internet.
