June 2012 – September 2014 (College Vacations) Business analyst VoiceCo Networks Ltd
Duties:
Lead generation in San Francisco. I cold called potential clients in order to get contact information for
VoiceCo, that I could pass on to the sales team I also tracked down information through social media and
database management; this resulted in 30 new sales leads per day.
While doing this I was part of a team and I had to work with my team to hit weekly targets.
Updating and managing the property manager database. This required negotiating with customers over
the telephone, who manage the buildings where the WiLine network is installed, in order to get
permission to install equipment (antennae, radios, backup generators) in their buildings. I also entered
their contact details into Voice Co.’s CRM system. This required dealing with customers who may have
been woken up by Voice Co at 3:00 AM with diplomacy and tact.
September 2014 – March 2015 Business analyst ESB
Duties:
I specialised as a business analyst for the ESB, while doing this I tracked down address coordinates from
around Ireland during a collaboration between Vodafone and the ESB, which supplied broadband access
to rural areas of Ireland, this required excellent attention to detail and enabled Vodafone to proceed with
its €450 million investment in broadband infrastructure with confidence.
I managed the ESB’s internal social media Yammer network. My responsibilities on this project were to
sell Yammer to ESB employees, to welcome ESB employees who were new to Yammer and to teach
employees the basics of Yammer, while I was working on this the number of ESB employees who joined
Yammer doubled, to more than a thousand employees.
My job responsibilities and day to day tasks frequently changed while in the ESB, as a result I am used to
working in a fast moving business environment.
