This document provides an overview of Kanban and its six core practices. It begins by explaining that Kanban originated from efforts at Microsoft to improve processes and now focuses on evolutionary change. The six core practices of Kanban are then described in detail: visualization, limit work in progress, manage flow, make policies explicit, implement feedback loops, and continually evolve. Examples are given throughout to illustrate how each practice can be implemented.
