QWhat do you consider your greatest professional accomplishment?
A. I’m especially proud of my role in growing the Blood Pressure
Monitor/Health business at Walmart to nearly 1,700,000 in unit volume via
branded sales and the development of their private label line, ReliOn. This
personal satisfaction comes from knowing that through the education
and awareness that we were able to bring to this category, hundreds of
thousands of people were taking the necessary steps to properly monitor
their blood pressure, therefore improving the lives of those customers.
QWhat distinct advantage will you bring to your next employer?
A. I will bring the proven ability to take established and stagnant
brands and grow their market share, benefiting both my company and
the accounts I serve. My experiences will allow me to hit the ground
running without a hindering learning curve, and immediately begin
impacting the business.
QWithin direct account management, what are the keys in
growing your business?
A. Initially, I dive in to understand the opportunity gaps that exist for
our lines via analyzing the current state of my business as well as the
competitive space around me. I establish open lines of communication
and remain intimately involved in the entire selling process, as that is one
of the strengths I possess that drives this growth. Having strong relationships
throughout all levels built on trust allows me the ability to best understand
their needs and thus helps to build our brand awareness.
QHow do you ensure success leading sales teams, both direct and
at the broker level?
A. I pride myself on developing a team atmosphere; I do not believe
that micromanaging my reps is an effective tactic. I work to understand
what drives each team member to better their motivations. I ensure they
understand the satisfaction I gain from their success, and that I’m always
here to help them reach their goals. With brokers, they must feel that we are
true partners throughout the entire process. We must have an open line of
communication with our broker partners in order to achieve our goals.
