The Pigeon update
The primary aim being to support improved local search results
So what – impacts on how your business is represented online
Google AdWords
Google My Business Info
Google Organic
Set Up a Google my business account
This is a combination of Google+ and Google Maps
Allows you to claim your business and add in relevant info and content
Allows people to leave reviews (they can do this even if you don’t claim your business)
Use a quality relevant image
Check pin is in correct location
Give Google as much business info as possible
Get at least 5 reviews on Google
6)Get customers to review on other sites such as facebook, yelp Google pulls these in
7) Use google plus and post at least every three weeks
8) If you business needs to be seen as clean, cool or trendy consider Business View for 360 internal shots.
Enable you to target very focused searches based on location
Reduces spend and focuses on ‘local customers’
If you haven’t set up a facebook places page for your business then you should
Its likely that a page already exists for your business even if you haven’t claimed it.
Anybody can create one which means people could be commenting about you business now without your knowledge
Therefore need to claim any listings. So you can control what is happening and the information provided
Once claim has gone in takes up to a week to be changed to Business page.
