1. How I came
to my final
design for my
poster
THADDEUS O’CONNOR-DUNPHIE
2. This is a mock up design which I created in Photoshop. So I inserted all of the pictures
which I took and pasted them all in one poster, which is why it looks very crowed and
jam packed. I took images from the internet too as you can see on the top right of the
poster I added a thick stack of cash which is being given to the older white man and a 1
dollar note being given to the younger aged black man. This is to show that the white
older man is being paid for because of his age and ethnicity which is unfair and that is
supposed to be the core message of my poster. Underneath those two is text which is
Human rights to make sure my audience knows what my campaign is all about. And then
underneath that is my slogan “Human rights make life fair.” I used this slogan because it
is short simple and snappy. Underneath my slogan is a group photo of everyone from
different sex and race and they are all being paid the same amount of money to show
that everyone is equal and should be treated and paid equally
3. I then decided that my poster design had too many pictures and looked very
crowed so I decided to only use 3 of my photos and then I decided to use
InDesign as I find it more easy to create a poster design on there. So to carry
my photos from Photoshop onto InDesign I deleted everything else even the
background and just left the pictures which I wanted. I then saved it as a
version 2 so that I still have my old version which I can show as a mock up.
Once this was all done I went onto InDesign created a background, added 3D
text so that it all looks attracted and then I added my photos by using the
place option.
4. This is my poster design as of
now however I am still going to
make some tweaks and
changes to try and make this
poster look as attractive and
well made as possible. I created
a title and made it in bold and
entered the text Human Rights
Make Life Fair and then I made
another one and changed the
colour to yellow which I put on
top on the other text which
caused the text to look 3D. After
that I created a white grid and
entered the text everybody is
equal in black writing.
5. Then after I had some thought
about it I went back onto the
picture from Photoshop and I
cropped out the background
and then I pasted it back into
InDesign so that now it looks
like they are actually on the
page and then I added a fair
amount of money being given
out to them to show that
everyone is happy and treated
and paid correctly no matter
what their sex or ethnicity is.
