4. Suction cups for pore water samples
A wide range of pore water samplers, leachate samplers and
vacuum devices is available.
For straight results it is decisive to select the suitable
material, the correct type of sampler and the proper vacuum
method.

with the solvents and has memory effects.

The

stored
inside
the
shaI
and
is
collected
by
applying
a
pressure
to
the
addi6onal
tube.
Instead
of
a
ceramic
cup
the
SPE20
pore
water
sampler
has
a
porous
PEnylon-‐
membrane
which
is
specially
suitable
for
heavy
metals
and
whenever
ceramics
are
inappropriate.

Sampler made of silicon carbide with
bubble point 10 kPa. SiC is sintered at
2500°C and is chemically much more
passive than ceramic or borosilicate.

suitable for phosphate and DOC.
Available with a diameter of 20 mm
or 25 mm.
11. Drainage & ground water recharge determination
KL2:
The leachate bucket can be buried in situ to collect
leachate - or can be used as a laboratory soil pillar
and lysimeter.
On the bottom of the stain less steel bucket a 1 bar
high fl ow ceramic plate is fi xed. The suction tube
has contact only to the “backside“ of the ceramic
plate’s rubber backing.
