Strengths:
Unity’s biggest strength is the sheer depth of their platform. Every month, they have a reach of 2 billion users who consume the content created by 1.5 million creators across 190 countries.
Unity have invested almost 450$ million on Talent, Research & Development across the last two fiscal years. Their acquisitions such as Applifier and Vivox are very product-specific and improve functionality and integration. That’s how they have been building their massive ecosystem.
Weaknesses:
Unity’s acquisitions, while they are great, are skewed towards the software side. They do not own the hardware.
And as we have seen with other tech firms, vertically integrating the software and the hardware would reduce market vulnerability and offer greater control.
Opportunities
