Segment Time Instructor’s Task Participants Learning Tasks Rationale Schema activation 20 min - T will divide the class into 3 groups. -T will provide a set of inferencing questions for students to create their own stories as they provide the answers in groups. -T will ask the students to get in a new group with students from the other groups and share their stories. - Ss will get in groups as the T assigns and create a story based on the questions provided. - Ss will get into new groups and story tell their creations one by one. - This part of the class will allow students to use their imagination to create a story based on questions provided and story tell. Video activity 10 min -T will show the video of the story. -T will provide a Venn diagram template for students to compare their story and the real story by Shakespeare'. - Ss. will watch the video attentively and take notes. - Ss will complete the Venn diagram by comparing their creation to the original story. - This part of the class will allow students to make comparisons between 2 stories, their creation and the original story. Expansion activity for writing -T will ask the Ss to create a concrete found poem by using words, phrases and whole sentences to shape a visual representation. -Ss will create their visual representation about a character, theme or setting by using words, phrases and whole sentences from the story. - This part of the class will allow students to represent their thoughts about the story through an image.
