Personally led the lobbying effort for all funding needed to create the first Coast Guard
Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Pacific (MIFC-PAC). Oversaw the physical
construction, meeting rigorous security standards, and build out/equipment,
furnishings, and staffing of the new unit. MIFC-PAC was named Intel Unit of the Year
in 2004.
