Marine Expeditionary Unit from October 2014 to 31 October 2015. During this period, Corporal
Patrick was instrumental in the H-1 Detachment’s management of all supply UH-1Y and AH-1Z components
ordered, tracked, received and stored on the USS Anchorage. He assisted in ordering over 700 consumable and
repairable components, each requiring numerous emails to coordinate, and served as liaison between
organizational level and intermediate level supply entities. Furthermore, during the H-1 Detachment’s two month
stint in Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa, Corporal Patrick served as the only Supply Expeditor, supporting two
shifts of maintenance, due to his efforts,none of the 188 parts ordered went missing, his work ethic and sense of
urgency in support of the H-1 detachment directly impacted the unit’s ability to successfully maintain above
average aircraft readiness and support the mission. Corporal Patrick’s distinctive accomplishments,
professionalism, and steadfast devotion to duty reflected credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest
traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.
