SUMMARY
I started my business career at one of Japan’s largest credit card companies, Aeon Credit Service Co.
Ltd. and progressed to the Business Development department in their headquarters 3 years later.
I successfully secured 100,000 monthly-average new card members in 2003. I participated in a
merger project in which Aeon acquired Mycal Co.Ltd. I took charge of the complete reformation of
sales promotion items, and the drafting of a new organization, as well as work related to judicial
affairs for Mycal.
After that I joined Dulton Co. Ltd., a stylish commodity manufacturer of miscellaneous goods, as a
product designer, sales & marketing manager and as a trader. I released on average three products
per month as a product designer. I was also in charge of exhibitions in Japan, Hong Kong and
Germany.
I joined Risona Bank, Osaka, as a loan officer in 2006 where I was mainly in charge of loans for
private enterprises and public institutions. I joined Prudential Life Insurance in 2007 for one year
but due to health problems I left.
Upon recovery I decided to start my own business selling imported and local lifestyle goods on the
web, as well as exporting used cars to East Africa, West Indies, Myanmar and Oceania. I did well in
my business. My sister was also very involved in the business, so, I decided to pass the reigns to
her in March 2013, at which time I took up a job offer from Pasona Corporation, Osaka.
I joined as a business trainee mentor and leader for the Osaka Prefectural Global Business
Development Program operated by Pasona Corporation. In the first six months I joined the business
training in Japan and Hong Kong. After that I was in charge of securing employment and mentoring
new Indian graduates entering the workforce at Team Pasona India Pvt. Ltd.
After finishing the program at Pasona, I moved to Phnom Penh and established Saraya (Cambodia)
Co. Ltd. as General Manager. I created a nationwide delivery network and secured distributors.
Mainly responsible for management in general, I also controlled the finance, accounting, sales and
marketing, business development, and human resources.
While in Cambodia I executed export/import transactions and negotiated directly with the
Cambodian Government. During this time, I was the only Japanese national at the company, all
2. other employees being Cambodian nationals. Within the first six months we were right on track
toward our targets and achieved a whole month surplus.
In March 2015, on receiving orders from Japanese headquarters to transfer to Myanmar and after
considering the compensation package offered I felt I had no choice but to leave the company.
Currently I keep a close connection with Cambodia as a member of an NGO.
