figures show that there are two related measures of the extent of reaction, the
concentration CA and the conversion XA. However, the relationship between CA
and XA is often not obvious but depends on a number of factors. This leads to three
special cases, as follows.
Xa means conversion of reactant ‘a’, its max value is ‘1’ when ‘a’ is totally consumed
(reaction is completed) and minimum value is ‘0’ when reactant is just added and
reaction hasn’t started.
