The floating market at Banjarmasin is a popular
market in South Kalimantan. It is called the floating
Market because the trading takes places among the
boats on the river.The market is open in the morning. It
starts early in the morning until around 8 o’clock.It is
interesting to go shopping at the floating market.
You can get to the market by using a small boat
called “ Klotok ”. It is about 30 minutes from the centre
of Banjarmasin. You can buy agricultural products,
such as fruit or vegetables cheaply because you buy
them directly from the farmers.
