This paper presents a possible method for enhancement of co-existence of an E-GSM system based network with a CDMA sustem based network, in border area between two countries. Since the frequency bands allocated for the deployment of previous mentioned networks can partially overlap and due to the fact that the downlink frequency band of CDMA system is in the same frequrency band as the uplink of E-GSM system, the co-existence of the systems represents a challenge for the spectrum enineering process. In this paper a method for sharing the frequency band between the two countries under discussion is presented, in order to offer an equitable access to limited spectrum resources. Under this approach, there are settled common technical principles of a coordination procedure between country A and country B.

Abstract The enormous increase in online content and the requirement of providing universal access to broadband Internet services is already stretching the capabilities of current technologies to their limit. New applications require networks with well-known and predictable characteristics and behavior. Advances in optical networks, together with the rapid rising demand for network bandwidth, are fueling an increasing amount of research in the field of optical networks. Optical communication has become a promising networking choice to meet increasing demand on bandwidth. Some of the emerging bandwidth-intensive computing and communication applications such as data browsing on the web, video conferencing, e-commerce, high-definition video/audio on-demand processing, data mining, database and decision-support transactions etc. The objective of this paper is to minimize the number of wavelengths, converters or other cost parameters. For this the network path should be an optimized one. This problem can be formulated as a mixed integer linear program, which is NP-complete. Performance has been evaluated with three different networks, a small, medium and large sized network with 6-node, 10-node and 14-node networks, respectively. Analysis shows that the Genetic Algorithm (GA) based method provides an optimized route with significantly less blocking probability than the normal cases. Keywords: Light path, genetic algorithms, wavelength division multiplexing, optical network, routing.

The increasing demand for data has driven the advancement of optical networks from traditional architectures to more flexible, dynamic and efficient solutions. This includes technologies like flexgrid reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers (ROADMs), variable bandwidth transponders (VBTs) providing different modulation, coding schemes and baud rates. These advancements have brought about new challenges that concerns to the routing and spectrum allocation (RSA), fragmented spectrum, need for rapid and efficient channel restoration, and operation and maintenance management of optical networks. To address these challenges, a dynamic and flexible network requires a highly advanced network operational system (OS) capable of efficiently managing and allocating network resources. It relies on network abstraction, sensors, actuators, and software-defined networking (SDN) to enable algorithms, management, control, and decision-making. Improving the sensing capabilities of the network is crucial. Modern hardware and sensor technology can help forecast fiber breaks, equipment failures, and other potential issues in advance, allowing for proactive actions to be taken. Machine learning (ML) methods have been proposed in the literature to enhance the accuracy of quality of transmission (QoT) estimation, mitigate nonlinearities and provide decisions. This reduces the need for conservative design margins, maximizes the capacity of optical network systems and reduces the investment in infrastructure. Failure management is a critical aspect of optical networks. Providing early-warning and proactive protection is essential. This includes detecting failures, localizing them, identifying the root causes, and estimating their magnitude. Quick response to failures is vital to maintaining network reliability.

Mobile network operators (MNOs) are increasingly focused on meeting the explosive demand for data services. Deploying small, below-the-clutter cells is another technique to solve the capacity ‘hot spot’ problem as well as to provide service in ‘coverage holes’ in mobile networks that were designed primarily to carry voice traffic. However, there are technical and economic constraints that prevent network operators from deploying small cells: backhaul is one such constraint. This paper describes the value proposition of BLiNQ’s NLOS wireless backhaul solution and compares its total cost of ownership to that of optical fiber.

Abstract— In Next generation wireless Networks, the received signals (RSS) from different networks do not have a same meaning since each network is composed of its specific characteristics and there is no common pilot signal. Then, RSS comparisons are insufficient for handoff decision and may be inefficient and impractical. A more complex decision criterion that combines a large number of parameters or factors such as monetary cost, bandwidth, and power consumption and user profile is necessary. Though there are a lot works available for vertical handoff decision (VHD) for wireless networks, the selection of best network is still challenging problem. In this paper we propose a Fuzzy based vertical handoff decision controller (FVHDC) Which performs handover decision based on the output of fuzzy based rules.

Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/why-teams-call-analytics-is-critical-to-your-entire-business Nothing is as frustrating and noticeable as being in an important call and being unable to see or hear the other person. Not surprising then, that issues with Teams calls are among the most common problems users call their helpdesk for. Having in depth insight into everything relevant going on at the user’s device, local network, ISP and Microsoft itself during the call is crucial for good Microsoft Teams Call quality support. To ensure a quick and adequate solution and to ensure your users get the most out of their Microsoft 365. But did you know that ‘bad calls’ are also an excellent indicator of other problems arising? Precisely because it is so noticeable!? Like the canary in the mine, bad calls can be early indicators of problems. Problems that might otherwise not have been noticed for a while but can have a big impact on productivity and satisfaction. Join this session by Christoph Adler to learn how true Microsoft Teams call quality analytics helped other organizations troubleshoot bad calls and identify and fix problems that impacted Teams calls or the use of Microsoft365 in general. See what it can do to keep your users happy and productive! In this session we will cover - Why CQD data alone is not enough to troubleshoot call problems - The importance of attributing call problems to the right call participant - What call quality analytics can do to help you quickly find, fix-, and prevent problems - Why having retrospective detailed insights matters - Real life examples of how others have used Microsoft Teams call quality monitoring to problem shoot problems with their ISP, network, device health and more.

Tracing the root cause of a performance issue requires a lot of patience, experience, and focus. It’s so hard that we sometimes attempt to guess by trying out tentative fixes, but that usually results in frustration, messy code, and a considerable waste of time and money. This talk explains how to correctly zoom in on a performance bottleneck using three levels of profiling: distributed tracing, metrics, and method profiling. After we learn to read the JVM profiler output as a flame graph, we explore a series of bottlenecks typical for backend systems, like connection/thread pool starvation, invisible aspects, blocking code, hot CPU methods, lock contention, and Virtual Thread pinning, and we learn to trace them even if they occur in library code you are not familiar with. Attend this talk and prepare for the performance issues that will eventually hit any successful system. About authorWith two decades of experience, Victor is a Java Champion working as a trainer for top companies in Europe. At its core, the challenge of managing Human Resources data is an integration challenge: estimates range from 2-3 HR systems in use at a typical SMB, up to a few dozen systems implemented amongst enterprise HR departments, and these systems seldom integrate seamlessly between themselves. Providing a multi-tenant, cloud-native solution to integrate these hundreds of HR-related systems, normalize their disparate data models and then render that consolidated information for stakeholder decision making has been a substantial undertaking, but one significantly eased by leveraging Ballerina. In this session, we’ll cover: The overall software architecture for VHR’s Cloud Data Platform Critical decision points leading to adoption of Ballerina for the CDP Ballerina’s role in multiple evolutionary steps to the current architecture Roadmap for the CDP architecture and plans for Ballerina WSO2’s partnership in bringing continual success for the CD
