Employment History
1. 1997- 2003, Coordinator , Don Bosco Navajeevan, Vijaywada
Don Bosco Navajeevan worked mainly for the uplift of children, as coordinator with the
organization I handled projects for street children and on child labour. In this capacity I was
responsible for motivating stakeholders, children, parents and their employers through
counselling sessions on various aspects of the child laws as envisaged in Child Protection
Policy, enrolling children for non –formal education, brining in children to immunization and
health care camps, arranging for referrals and its follow up. Organising awareness generation
through IEC activities such as street plays. Developing reports to track progress and for
submission to funders.
2. 2004- 2005 , Coordinated MSM project for Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control
Society (APSACS)
Was responsible for organising awareness generation programme and on positive thinking ,
conducting income generating programmes, report generations based on monitoring
exercises.
3. 2005-2010 Co- Coordinator, Society for Infected People Living with HIV/AIDS
(SHIP) Guntur,
SHIP is Guntur based CBO, working for improving the lives of People with HIV/AIDS,
As one of the many coordinators managing the various APSACS programme, was
responsible for PPTCT programme. My work involved organizing awareness camps,
facilitation of referrals for ANC expectant women PLHAs/ Affected women,, PNC
expectant and affected women, and neo-natal and Infant care for children of infected and
affected women. Counselling on feeding practices to lactating mothers and infected
children, Periodic collation of data through FGDs and IDIs as part of programme monitoring.
4. Various short term assignments during 2005- 2010
Although, I was on pay rolls of SHIP from 2005, I was allowed to undertake other
short term assignments as per the organisation policy to build my capacity, the
following are the list of assignments undertaken during the said period along with role
and responsibility.
a. 2005 : Investigator for study a Rapid Assessment on Adherence to ARV Treatment
for India HIV/ AIDS Alliance, New Delhi
Conducted in-depth Interviews with over 100 ARV clients to understand the problem
faced in adherence to ARV regimen.
b. 2005-2006 , Coordinator Maharashtra Association of Anthropological Sciences
(MAAS), Pune
MAAS had a initiated year a long project to understand the psychology of AIDS
patient on Anit Retro Viral (ARV) treatment. I was chiefly responsible for liaison
with government officials for requisite permission to contact AVR clients and collate
information with them . As part of this I had documented several clients as case studies.
c. May 2006 Field Data Coordinator, for Delhi based research agency “ Amoghah
Research” for Baseline study for India HIV/AIDS Alliance
I was responsible for raising team and organising data collection for quantitative survey
among PLHAs across the state.
d. Feburary 2007 Field Data Coordinator, for Delhi based research agency “
Amoghah Research” for endline study for India HIV/AIDS Alliance
I was responsible for raising team and organising data collection for quantitative survey
among PLHAs across the state.
e. March 2007- June 2007, Camp Coordinator, Clinton Foundation,
As part of Clinton Foundations HIV/ AIDS initiatives in Andhra Pradesh for infected
children, Camps were organised, my main tasks involved organising screening camps
for infected children and providing counselling services to them. Facilitation of
referrals and linkages for infected children. Liaison with the donor and lead Partner, and
networked NGOs and government officials.
f. July – Sept 2007. Consultant, Documentation of trainings for Andhra Pradesh State
AIDS Control Society (APSACS)
Documented all the training programmes conducted in the state for PPTCTC programme
by APSACS.
g. 2007 Consultant Balashayoga Project, Care India,
As consultant, I was responsible for qualitative data collection among the beneficiaries,
Moderated all the focus group discussions (FGDs) and In-depth Interviews (IDIs) with
PLHAs
h. November 2008 Field Data Coordinator, for Delhi based research agency “
Amoghah Research” for evaluation of LEPRA Society, EU funded programme “
Strengthening Health systems for TB, Malaria and Leprosy
I was responsible for raising team and organising data collection for qualitative data
across districts of Adilabad, Karim nagar, Mehboobnagar and Rangareddy districts. I
organised close to 150 IDIs and 50 FGDs
i. October- November 2009 Field Data Coordinator, for Delhi based research agency
“ Amoghah Research” for study to assess the impact of violence against MSM and
FSWs and their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS for Alliance India Hyderabad
I was responsible for raising team and organising data collection for qualitative data
through FGDs and IDIs with FWS ( All categories i.e. home , street and brothel based)
and MSM ( all categories i.e. Kothi and Panthi ) across Telengana and Rayalseema
regions of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
5. 2010 -2012 Programme Manager Christian Association for Peoples Medical
Development (CAMP), Chilkaluuripeta, Guntur Dist
As program manager, I was responsible for both technical and financial aspect of the
program on Medical assistance to FSW. I managed a team of over 15 people.
Ensuring scheduled activities and monitoring were integral part of my responsibility.
6. 2012-2013 Lead Trainer , Y. R.G. Care, for programme supported by University
of California, San Francisco (UCSF) on Female Sex Workers
The programme sought to empower both PLHAs and non- PLHAs female sex workers
with their rights and oriented with strategies to overcome violence and harassment in
their lives. I as lead trainer, was responsible for organising and imparting trainings to
targeted population.
7. 2013- 2014, Field Data Coordinator for Andhra Pradesh, Sambodhi Research
Private Limited.
I was responsible for raising team, training the team and organise data collection for
assignments undertaken by Samobodhi Research in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. I have
organised data collection for WSP- World Bank supported study on Nirmal Gram
Purskar Sustainability, to assess the status of award winning NGP panchayats.
Second, I have organised data collection for Digital Green supported study on Farmers
for Non- Pesticide Management farm practices.
For the both these studies I had regularly interact with government officials in District
Rural Development Authority and Gram Panchayats and all officers and block and
village levels.
