The University of Toledo Public Relations Student Society of America (UT PRSSA) is hosting a campus snowball fight on February 12, 2016 from 2-2:30 PM in front of the Student Union. The event aims to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation and increase the number of donors registered in Ohio. UT PRSSA is participating in a competition to create the most successful donation campaign, and must sign up over 10,000 new donors by the end of February to win $2,000. This snowball fight is one of several upcoming events organized by UT PRSSA to promote donation.

University of Toledo Students and Faculty Raising Awareness for Organ and Tissue Donors
WHAT: The University of Toledo Public Relations Student Society of America (UT
PRSSA) is hosting a Campus Snowball Fight. This event is to gain awareness for
the Do It Now Campaign to increase the number of people who are willing to be
organ and/or tissue donors. At least 300 students, professors, staff, administrators,
and community members are expected to participate. Among those participating
are interns from local television stations.

WHY: UT PRSSA is participating in a statewide competition to create the most
successful campaign to increase donors in Ohio and are responsible for signing up
10,347 participants by the end of February 2016. The winner of the competition
will receive $2,000 for their organization. This is one of several events planned by
UT PRSSA. There will be a formal presentation at the beginning of February
2016, and there is a weeklong Donor Celebration during the week of February
22nd, including a walk for life.
