Ms presentation1

 1. 1. Kim Thompson is my girlfriend, my soul mate and my inspiration. She was diagnosed with MS in February of 2009, at the age of 32. She was diagnosed in the prime of her life. Since then she has been fighting and winning her battle with this disease and she has inspired many others to fight along side her. I am one her soldiers and I want to you to fight with us.
2. 2. Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This disease generally targets people between the ages of 20 and 40 while they are in the prime of their life.
3. 3. So What is MS?
This short video might help to explain how MS affects the human body
4. 4. While some believe that Multiple Sclerosis is a hereditary disease, currently it is unclear as to what causes certain people to have to live with this disease. Because it is unclear what it is caused by, there is currently no cure, but there are treatments to manage MS and allow those affected to live as normal a life as possible.
5. 5. Currently researchers are desperately searching for ways to combat this disease and every donation that we can secure will help those researchers move closer and closer to finding a cause and a cure for MS which will prevent more people from suffering from the paralysisand blindness that MS can cause.
6. 6. Many Multiple Sclerosis Patients who suffer from the effects of MS end up spending much of their post diagnosis lives in a wheelchair. Our goal is to secure donations towards the research that can find a cure for MS and keep those afflicted with it out of the wheelchair and on their feet.
7. 7. On April 9th, 2011 Pensacola will be hosting their annual Walk MS fundraiser to help collect donations that will go towards Multiple Sclerosis Research. On behalf of Kim, myself, and the MS community I would like to invite all of you to walk with us and help keep those with MS moving.
8. 8. Supporting our cause will show your community that you support the NMSS and will help others join us to fight for a cure for this devastating disease!
9. 9. Please support our pursuit for a cure for multiple Sclerosis with a monetary donation to the National MS Society at http://www.nationalmssociety.orgbefore it can affect another walk on the beach with your loved one.
10. 10. For more information about MS or to make a donation toward a cure for MS please visit the National MS Society Website at or call
1-800-344-4867 to find a chapter near you.
