Eggs
• Choose any type of
egg you prefer (e.g.,
brown, white, cage
free, etc.).
• Older eggs set and
peal better.
Water
• Tap water is fine.
Ice
Salt (Optional)

• Pot and lid
• Colander
• Slotted spoon
(optional)
• Bowl
• Serving dish
4. 1. Place eggs in pot and fill with cold water
a. Place eggs in pot.
b. Fill with cold water.
a. One inch above
eggs.
c. Add a tablespoon
of salt.
5. 2. Set over high heat on stove
a. Place pot on stove
burner.

6. 3. Bring to a rolling boil

for the egg yolk.

9. 6. Drain the eggs
a. Drain the eggs in
the colander.
b. Briefly run cold
water over eggs to
be able to handle
them or use a
slotted spoon.
11. 8. Transfer eggs to bowl with ice water
a. Fill a bowl with ice
and water, enough to
cover the eggs.
b. Transfer eggs to the
ice water bath.
c. Allow to sit for 1–2
minutes.
12. 9. Remove eggs from ice water and peel
