Descriptive Essay On Car Rides
Car rides are great, long, relaxed and stress free. Sitting in the back, laid down, listening to music. You wonder can life get any better! As a kid,
you might have hated car rides. They felt way too long and your parents would probably have to be annoyed by you saying "are we there yet?" As a
child you would need to be occupied; you can't stay still for a good two minutes without something to do. Sometimes car rides suck! If something
dreadful happens, it leaves a mark on you forever, something that you will always remember. You will never forget.
My family and I were heading to Virginia. It was my dad, mom, sister, and I. At the time my sister and I were young; I was in the 4th grade. I was
also creative as a child. Before we left to go to Virginia, I packed so many things to occupy myself. I packed coloring books, crayons, colored
pencils, pens, markers, word searches, fake makeup, nail stickers and nail art. As you can probably tell, I brought a lot. I always needed something to
do. My mom packed tons of food and all our clothes. She brought smart food, chips, cookies, and candy. Overall, the thought of junk food was
mesmerizing. I just couldn't wait till we got in the car to eat it.
My parents started packing the car with all the suitcases and bags. My dad got this new air freshener for the car just to give the car a nice touch.
My sister and I also brought things to make us comfy. Things like blankets and pillows. For a child going to Virginia is probably the longest car
ride ever! We all sat in the car, and my dad made a checklist and made sure we got everything. Once we were ready to leave we went and drove
away. As we were driving the first thirty minutes, we were just talking about car accidents cause my mom got a notification about a car accident that
happened near the highway we usually go on. My dad was explaining bad things that can happen in a car accident. I got so scared, and I was worried
for the rest of the car ride.
As a few hours passed; it seemed as if we were in a different state. I was fast asleep and didn't know where we were. I asked my dad and he said we
were two hours away from our destination. We were on a highway, so my dad said we were allowed to take our seat belts and relax.

Descriptive Essay On My Dream Car
Whether it's a lifted truck running a hemi or a suped up WRX, your dream car embodies what you desire, the life you'd like to live, and the kind of
person you'd like to be. Your real car embodies what you have, the life you live, and the kind of person you are.
The search for your dream car entails spending months combing over different makes and models of car, seeing which has the most horsepower, the
fastest, the best for mudding or the best for racing. Pondering what it would be like to own such a masterpiece of vehicular perfection.
The time spent imagining what your friends would think if you were to pull up to school in a Rolls Royce, stepping out like a lavish Bill Gates. The
flock of people crowding around the new wheels just to catch a glimpse.
Instead, people walk briskly past your car to distance themselves from the smell of burning oil and the squeaking the tranny makes anytime you shift to
park.
But back to the dream car, the embodiment of fancy, adorning a leather interior, unnecessary interior lights, top of the line dash clusters and head unit
gadgets.
You look down and see your car is outfitted with an interior resembling a 1640's tavern. Seats stuffed with a frightening combination of feathers
and hay, interior lights so dim you can't see the pedals in the dark and worst of all, the dash. The tachometer, idling dangerously close to 3, spikes
randomly if you go over 45. As we move over, we meet the fuel gage, hovering ever so close to the dreaded E. Does your car know what a full tank
of gas is like or only what $5 gets you? But hey, I'm sure that's enough to get to school, right? Next we find the temperature gage, where even in park
the daring arrow continues to inch it's way closer and closer to H. Then we glance over to the ominous but impending doom of the dash lights. You
know what light that is, but if you don't look maybe it will go away. A strange box with the word "CHECK" inside. It could be anything from a faulty
light, to a blown head gasket, but that's not important cause you're not fixing it regardless.
Last but not least, we reach the coup de gras of your dash, the odometer. Dust covers the numbers, protecting your eyes from the abomination that is the
mileage.

My Future Plans For The Future
Imagine the perfect life, the perfect family, dream house, dream car, and the perfect career. That's what I hope someday my life will be like.
Everyone has a future plan, to make the best out of our life, what is your plan? My future plan is to be a pediatrician. I would like to help the
children of the future. They are the next generation and I would like to leave a legacy for them to follow. I want to help save and make a child
happy someday. The thought of making a difference in someone's life is the reason I can go to sleep peacefully. We all have a purpose for being
here and I my purpose is to save one of us, my purpose is to help the ones in need, the ones in the street begging for somewhere to live, the ones
dying of poverty. However, right now in the 21st century technology has taken over the world, not figuratively but literally. It made the world, both
a bad and good place. People are going to run out of jobs and tech will run the world. Technology will be the greatest invention of human kind but
how will it affect some of us? First to begin with, Technology is part of our everyday lives. Every nook, every corner we turn there is someone with
technology. In doing research it says technology is advancing so fast that it will be a thousand times more advanced in the next 10 years. From having
no technology in the 1900s we are currently flourishing with technology every day, in our house there is at least 10 different items that are connected to
the internet. To

My Dream Life Essay
Moving forward with the concepts and lessons I learned in the section Create Your Dream Life, I am slowly and steadily trying to improve my way of
life. I started to notice and evaluate my life situations to comprehend what, when, and how I need to change. I am beginning to increase my
self–perception and cognitive flexibility while balancing my dashboard more effectively. AlthoughCareer Perspectives is opening my eyes to new
possibilities and teaching me new concepts, it is difficult to change in a blink of an eye. While growing and changing, I am reminded that
creating my dream career reflects my dream life; they complement one another. Society has at least two perspectives of passions: It leads us to
perceive that passions will not make us enough money to lead a good life; and on the opposite end of the spectrum, society says "do what you love
and never work a day in your life" or "do what you love, and money will follow." They always leave out the concept of "get great at what you do." I
often mistake passions and interests as one in the same, which confuses me when I am trying to decide my career path. I know I am interested in a
variety of things, but I wasn't sure what exactly I was passionate about. Learning that sometimes our passions have a gravitational pull towards them,
I noticed that some of my answers always seem to repeat themselves. A few years ago, I realized a dilemma within myself: I always say, but I do not
do. Ever since that moment of realization I

Don't be whimp, you can do it. This is what I kept telling myself. Everyone else can do it, you can do it too. At least that was my dream, until it
came time to making it happen. It seemed like I was forever trying to learn to swim and go under the water. My legs would shake, my stomach would
be in knots, everyone looking at me with anticipation waiting for me to jump, but I couldn't make it happen. Some little voice in my head kept telling
me to turn around and run. I sat on the sidelines, watching everybody else having the fun, playing the games, and doing the diving. Even kids that
were younger than me were swimming. I felt like such a failure, until one day I decided that nothing was going to stop me anymore. If you...show more

He also played the role of Tarzan in the movies. What an accomplishment as well as a hero. I was getting inspired. I began with my fear of washing
my hair. I took a shower one night, closed my eyes tight, and didn't scream one time from burning my eyes. We've all experienced that one time in
our life, right? I think I'm on my way. Every day I waited until the pool was empty, and I practiced hanging on to the sides, going deeper and
deeper, but stopped before I could no longer touch the ground. Indeed, I was starting to improve, but I needed another something to give me an extra
boost of courage. And then I found it. In 1901, Annie Taylor used a pickle barrel to go over the Niagara Falls. She was a schoolteacher, and 63 years
of age. Annie was struggling with money and thought this would bring her fame. Unbelievably, she survived, becoming the first person to ever try that
stunt. I would never be brave enough for that, but a 63 year old woman did this courageous thing. I was determined more than ever now. I practiced for
about 3 weeks preparing myself for my debut. Everyone knew what I was doing because you can't keep a secret where I live. As I headed to the pool,
and of course all of the neighborhood kids were there, I started to imagine ways to back out. I could say I had a leg cramp, I had water in my ears, I
was grounded, or I had diarrhea. There was no backing out now. As I stepped up to the edge of the pool, I could feel myself

Personal Narrative : My Dream Car
It was the day before my seventeenth birthday. It was a cool saturday evening in March. My mother woke me up early that day telling me we are
going to see my grandparents. My hair was a mess, tangles in my hair from rolling around at night restless trying to find a comfortable sleeping
position. I struggled getting out of my warm, comfortable bed that swallowed my body and made it even harder to find motivation to get up.
After a while of contemplating if getting out of bed was a good idea, my mom came back in and pulled the warm blanket off my body and
yelled, with her restless voice, to get out of bed and start getting ready. When I finally started getting ready and putting on my make up, which is
right after I get out of the shower, she came back in and ask if she could pick out my outfit. At first I thought it was weird and then I came up with a
conclusion maybe she was doing this because of my birthday or so I can hurry up and we can leave sooner. As I got ready I was telling my parents
about my dream car. It has been my dream to have a black beautiful, two door, four wheel drive, V6 engine, with silver rims, and wheels that are big
enough to rock crawl in the mountains, for as far back as I can remember. During the time I was getting ready my father wasn't home. My mother told
me he was at Walmart getting milk. I continued to explained to my mom that I would do anything to get my dream car. Last year I was devastated that
I didn't get my dream car for my birthday, but

Descriptive Essay On My Car
As I exit the car, the sunshine meets my pasty white skin, breaking through the bitter chill of my body. Quickly, I hurry over to the driver's seat
window. "Be sure to pick a juicy one," my mother says, just before kissing me on the forehead. Her bright cherry red lipstick brands my face as if to
mark me. Her dark sunglasses masks the beauty of her eyes and her black bonnet prevents her curly dark hair from being exposed to the world. She
rolls up the dark tinted windows before driving away secretly, being sure no one saw her and ensuring no one was following her. As a seven year
old, I always thought it was odd that my mom would drop me off at the park alone, although she knows I can take care of myself. My small stature and

Although quite large, he did not seem intimidating but instead seemed kind and warm, similar to the warmth of the sun on this day. His face was
elongated with a needle–like chin that could scare all kids he encounters yet, for some reason, I found it comforting. The thick brows on his eyes
were unfurrowed and the scarce amount of hair he had, beyond his receding hairline, was the color of a grey cloud, flying low in the sky. "My
name is Vladimir, how are you?" He asked. Entranced by the depth of his dark brown eyes, I was paralyzed from speaking. Normally, I find the
presence of strangers to be unpleasing, like the drilling of a cavity at the dentist, but Vladimir's presence felt more like the sight of a rainbow after an
evening rain. The silence lengthens as the slender man, dressed in a light blue button down shirt and hipster glasses awaits an answer from me.
"I'm fine," I belatedly reply, finally coming back to my senses.
"Why Timmy, there is no need to be frightened, I am simply a friend of your family," Vladimir ensured. What is he talking about, I thought,
knowing that my family does not have any friends. Still, something in Vladimir's voice sounded promising. "Hey, I have a puppy in my car. Would
you like to meet him?" Vladimir asked. Enticed, I nod my head in agreement. He grabs my hand as we cheerfully pace towards the spot where my
mother had dropped me off before, except my mother's black car was no longer present, and a red car rested there

Descriptive Essay : My Dream
In my dream, I am in a small boat in rough waters. It is a dark night, with a full moon, dark clouds filling the horizon. I am sitting in a small wooden
boat in the ocean or large lake. I cannot see land in any direction. The waters are rough, with large waves rocking the boat. The waves are so rough
they are causing water is spray into my face. I am afraid that the boat will tip over and I will drown. I hold on to the sides with both hands.
Suddenly up ahead I can see large rocks in the water, large waves crashing against the dark gray slick sides. My boat is going to hit them. Suddenly
I am traveling between the rocks standing stark and cold on both sides. My small boat travels between several of them and into a rushing river. I
am full of dread, I will certainly sink and drown. I travel down the rushing river. There are high, dark cliffs on both sides. In the distance I can see the
cliffs ending and the river disappearing out of my sight. As I travel closer and closer I can hear the sounds of a waterfall. I travel down the river,
between the cliffs and over a large waterfall. I fall from a great height, walking up in my bed, still filling as though I will drown. Working With The
Dream A small boat in rough water feels like I am out of control. Control is an allusion. It is dark and I do not know where I am or where I am going. I
am in a small boat alone like life that is sometimes solitary and must be traveled alone. Life can sometimes feel rough

Descriptive Essay About My First Car
My first car My journey began on a spring day, when my boyfriend at that time–now my husband said that is right time to buy a car. Even though I was
23 at that moment, I had a feeling like I will be so independent despite the fact that from the age of 18 years old I didn't live with my parents ,I
traveled in Europe by myself and I was already an independent person. In contrast with the US, in Russia the minimum age to drive a car is 18
years old, but there is no much in a car because the public transportation is cheaper and more convenient because it is close to every location that
you may need as well as lack of parking spots that make parking seem endless. On the top of disadvantages, is the stereotype that the worst drivers
in Russia are females? These were my reasons why I started to drive only at 23, the perfect age when I just moved to US. The thought that I will
have a car, my own car, made me feel very confident in myself. Thinking about my future first car made me so happy like I was a child expecting
for Christmas gifts, unwrapping the presents without any idea about what is inside of the box. Unlike a child, I knew what is inside of the box,
something that suits my budget, around 2 or 3 thousand. I was searching a car not for its shape, color or model but by my budget. As every first car
owner I wanted a car that will be cheap in maintenance, with the lowest gas mileage , new inside and outside and with a clean title. My dreams were
destroyed very fast, at the

Descriptive Essay On A Car
The car ride wasn't that long but it felt like forever. Once we got out of my familiar range of York my mind drifted off the anticipation but it still
stayed close behind. The music coming from the car was blurred from my lack of attention to it. The sound of my dad's voice on another business
call coming from the front was also put to the side as all my attention was intentivly directed to my phone. Scrolling through feeds and games the log
eternity of the car ride drew more intense. Though it was only an hour or two, boredom set in unusually fast. My mom sat quietly in the passenger seat
doing the same as I, mindlessly passing the time, ignoring the anticipation. The distinguished right turn that my dad knew not to miss changed to cars
gravity to the left shifting everything with it. As we made our way closer to our destination the scenery started to look more like Nebraska then the
Mason Dixon Line.
The left turn onto the loud gravel driveway rumbled the car again as we pulled closer to the two house like buildings. The feelings grew stronger
though I knew that it would be a while until the moment came. My mom was definitely the most excited of the three of us. She loved puppies. As we
stepped out of the car a pickup truck pulled in behind us. We were both parked by a small building which I could see through the window was the info
and paying register.

My Dream Journal
One of the best things I've done in my life is that I've constantly kept a dream journal. When I was only 14, I became interested in what dreams
meant and ever since then I've taken my dreams very seriously. I use my dreams to help me understand what is going on in my life and what I need
to do going forward. If you are not currently keeping a record of your dreams, let me list the reasons why you should take this dream journal challenge
and start!
5 Reasons To Keep A Dream Journal
1. Others Can't Interpret Your Dreams For You
Everyone wakes up from time to time and wonders 'what did that dream mean?'
There are different places online you can go to get help to interpret your dreams. For instance, you can check out Dream Moods, type in 'ex–boyfriend'
and get a pre–written response on what it means to dream about an ex–boyfriend.
Some of the interpretation is pretty good, and I'm not saying that it might not be an accurate interpretation for you. However, there is a good chance
that it's not. The dream may not just about your ex–boyfriend (or whatever you dreamt about) and some generic interpretations. In fact, there may be
something else in the dream, such as a place or feeling, that is the real focus of the dream and why you are having it.
When you keep a dream journal, you can write down all those little parts of the dream that make up the whole, and as you go over your dream you may
find that the dream is more about something else than what you originally thought.

My Dream House Essay
What I Call Home
In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious
houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with
white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant
them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor,
they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". It definitely makes her and our neighbors happy. She shares the...show more content...
After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll sit in the living room and watch television
together. My living room is probably the coziest place in my house. The walls are partially decorated with pieces of wood. It resembles the interior of
a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll
also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their
room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My
backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a
dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard
fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others
that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear,
peach, cherry, apricot,

Personal Narrative : Buying My First Car
Buying my first Car At the age of 17 all I could think about was having a car. However, I understood that owning a car, I would be required to have a
job. This would allow me to pay for insurance, gas and maintenance issues. I also understood buying a car required me to have a driver license.
After taking all the necessary steps to purchase my first car. The very first car I bought was a "lemon". I should have known the car was a lemon
because of the price. There is an old saying "you get what you pay for". While out shopping for cars one day, I just so happen to pass by a car
dealer that sold used cars. I stopped in and talked to the sales man on duty. I explained to him that I never bought a car before and was looking for
one I could purchase for $250. He took me to the back of the lot where they stored cars that had been reposed from owners that could not make
their payments. There he showed me a 1965 Oldsmobile and explained how this was the only car he could sell me in that price, he went on to
explain how he really should sell it for $400 but because it was my first buy he would sell it to me for $250. I looked around the lot for other cars
that may have been a bit nicer, there were a few but they all had much bigger price tags. This was the only one he had for $250 although I should
have known there maybe problems with that car, because of the price, it was my first car and I wanted it. Next, I should have known the car was a
lemon when I seen the Exterior.

Descriptive Essay About A Dream Planet
The Dream Planet
The dream planet is far away in a distant galaxy. Its beautiful colors are lavender, sky blue, and a light pink swirl. There are three islands on the
planet. If you stood on the cloud island, you would smell the perfect smell of cotton candy seep into your nose. If you were on the escape island you
would smell the fruity smell of pineapples and mangos. If you were on the relaxed island you would smell clean fresh flowers.
First, let's talk about the cloud island. This is a land where there are huge cotton candy puffs in the atmosphere. It is like you are up in the sky
surrounded by clouds! In these cotton candy puffs, there are all kinds of candy. It is like a huge candy shop! Oh, and of course you can fly and eat
whatever candy you would like. Looking around cloud island, you may notice something to be quite peculiar. There are huge white unicorns with
rainbow–colored tails and manes flying around. You don't have to worry, they are kind and will fetch you anything you may want.
The second island is called escape island. This one is more of a tropical island with a beach. You can sit on a very relaxingchair and hear the waves
rushing up to catch you. There are also a bunch of seafood restaurants along the shoreline too! But of course, there are a million of drink options. The
best two drinks are their watermelon cooler and limeade punch located at a wooden bar on the beach. The watermelon cooler is a bright red color, but
the limeade punch is green. The

Admit it. You most likely have a vehicle that you dream of one day owning. Perhaps it is an older style Corvette or a brand new Mustang. It could be
a half–ton pickup that gets great gas mileage or a top of the line SUV that has all of the features you could imagine. If you are currently searching
to find your dream car, you probably already do a lot of searching your local papers and various websites that include your local area within
searches. Now though, you do have the option to look a little further away from home and as an added bonus, it could also mean that you find an

The idea of long distance car...show more content...
The answer is that it depends on how much the vehicle you want is worth to you. If you find your dream car for $1500 less than you were expecting,
then it may very well be worth the hassle of transferring it to your state as long as the possible fees of transferring and the taxes that you will have
to pay are still a good bit less than the $1500. On the other side of this, if you find your dream car that is the right color in another state for
approximately the same amount that you can purchase it closer to home, you may want to stick with the one that is closer. It will most likely cost
you less in the long run. Buying a car is never easy. By looking in other states, you are giving yourself a better chance of finding a deal that is well
worth taking advantage of. However, it is still important that you look at all aspects so that you do truly find the deal of a lifetime and not something
that will break your budget before you get it

Descriptive Essay On Car Rides

  • 1. Descriptive Essay On Car Rides Car rides are great, long, relaxed and stress free. Sitting in the back, laid down, listening to music. You wonder can life get any better! As a kid, you might have hated car rides. They felt way too long and your parents would probably have to be annoyed by you saying "are we there yet?" As a child you would need to be occupied; you can't stay still for a good two minutes without something to do. Sometimes car rides suck! If something dreadful happens, it leaves a mark on you forever, something that you will always remember. You will never forget. My family and I were heading to Virginia. It was my dad, mom, sister, and I. At the time my sister and I were young; I was in the 4th grade. I was also creative as a child. Before we left to go to Virginia, I packed so many things to occupy myself. I packed coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, pens, markers, word searches, fake makeup, nail stickers and nail art. As you can probably tell, I brought a lot. I always needed something to do. My mom packed tons of food and all our clothes. She brought smart food, chips, cookies, and candy. Overall, the thought of junk food was mesmerizing. I just couldn't wait till we got in the car to eat it. My parents started packing the car with all the suitcases and bags. My dad got this new air freshener for the car just to give the car a nice touch. My sister and I also brought things to make us comfy. Things like blankets and pillows. For a child going to Virginia is probably the longest car ride ever! We all sat in the car, and my dad made a checklist and made sure we got everything. Once we were ready to leave we went and drove away. As we were driving the first thirty minutes, we were just talking about car accidents cause my mom got a notification about a car accident that happened near the highway we usually go on. My dad was explaining bad things that can happen in a car accident. I got so scared, and I was worried for the rest of the car ride. As a few hours passed; it seemed as if we were in a different state. I was fast asleep and didn't know where we were. I asked my dad and he said we were two hours away from our destination. We were on a highway, so my dad said we were allowed to take our seat belts and relax. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay On My Dream Car Whether it's a lifted truck running a hemi or a suped up WRX, your dream car embodies what you desire, the life you'd like to live, and the kind of person you'd like to be. Your real car embodies what you have, the life you live, and the kind of person you are. The search for your dream car entails spending months combing over different makes and models of car, seeing which has the most horsepower, the fastest, the best for mudding or the best for racing. Pondering what it would be like to own such a masterpiece of vehicular perfection. The time spent imagining what your friends would think if you were to pull up to school in a Rolls Royce, stepping out like a lavish Bill Gates. The flock of people crowding around the new wheels just to catch a glimpse. Instead, people walk briskly past your car to distance themselves from the smell of burning oil and the squeaking the tranny makes anytime you shift to park. But back to the dream car, the embodiment of fancy, adorning a leather interior, unnecessary interior lights, top of the line dash clusters and head unit gadgets. You look down and see your car is outfitted with an interior resembling a 1640's tavern. Seats stuffed with a frightening combination of feathers and hay, interior lights so dim you can't see the pedals in the dark and worst of all, the dash. The tachometer, idling dangerously close to 3, spikes randomly if you go over 45. As we move over, we meet the fuel gage, hovering ever so close to the dreaded E. Does your car know what a full tank of gas is like or only what $5 gets you? But hey, I'm sure that's enough to get to school, right? Next we find the temperature gage, where even in park the daring arrow continues to inch it's way closer and closer to H. Then we glance over to the ominous but impending doom of the dash lights. You know what light that is, but if you don't look maybe it will go away. A strange box with the word "CHECK" inside. It could be anything from a faulty light, to a blown head gasket, but that's not important cause you're not fixing it regardless. Last but not least, we reach the coup de gras of your dash, the odometer. Dust covers the numbers, protecting your eyes from the abomination that is the mileage.

  • 4. My Future Plans For The Future Imagine the perfect life, the perfect family, dream house, dream car, and the perfect career. That's what I hope someday my life will be like. Everyone has a future plan, to make the best out of our life, what is your plan? My future plan is to be a pediatrician. I would like to help the children of the future. They are the next generation and I would like to leave a legacy for them to follow. I want to help save and make a child happy someday. The thought of making a difference in someone's life is the reason I can go to sleep peacefully. We all have a purpose for being here and I my purpose is to save one of us, my purpose is to help the ones in need, the ones in the street begging for somewhere to live, the ones dying of poverty. However, right now in the 21st century technology has taken over the world, not figuratively but literally. It made the world, both a bad and good place. People are going to run out of jobs and tech will run the world. Technology will be the greatest invention of human kind but how will it affect some of us? First to begin with, Technology is part of our everyday lives. Every nook, every corner we turn there is someone with technology. In doing research it says technology is advancing so fast that it will be a thousand times more advanced in the next 10 years. From having no technology in the 1900s we are currently flourishing with technology every day, in our house there is at least 10 different items that are connected to the internet. • 5. My Dream Life Essay Moving forward with the concepts and lessons I learned in the section Create Your Dream Life, I am slowly and steadily trying to improve my way of life. I started to notice and evaluate my life situations to comprehend what, when, and how I need to change. I am beginning to increase my self–perception and cognitive flexibility while balancing my dashboard more effectively. AlthoughCareer Perspectives is opening my eyes to new possibilities and teaching me new concepts, it is difficult to change in a blink of an eye. While growing and changing, I am reminded that creating my dream career reflects my dream life; they complement one another. Society has at least two perspectives of passions: It leads us to perceive that passions will not make us enough money to lead a good life; and on the opposite end of the spectrum, society says "do what you love and never work a day in your life" or "do what you love, and money will follow." They always leave out the concept of "get great at what you do." I often mistake passions and interests as one in the same, which confuses me when I am trying to decide my career path. I know I am interested in a variety of things, but I wasn't sure what exactly I was passionate about. Learning that sometimes our passions have a gravitational pull towards them, I noticed that some of my answers always seem to repeat themselves. A few years ago, I realized a dilemma within myself: I always say, but I do not do. Ever since that moment of realization I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Dream Essay Don't be whimp, you can do it. This is what I kept telling myself. Everyone else can do it, you can do it too. At least that was my dream, until it came time to making it happen. It seemed like I was forever trying to learn to swim and go under the water. My legs would shake, my stomach would be in knots, everyone looking at me with anticipation waiting for me to jump, but I couldn't make it happen. Some little voice in my head kept telling me to turn around and run. I sat on the sidelines, watching everybody else having the fun, playing the games, and doing the diving. Even kids that were younger than me were swimming. I felt like such a failure, until one day I decided that nothing was going to stop me anymore. If you...show more content... He also played the role of Tarzan in the movies. What an accomplishment as well as a hero. I was getting inspired. I began with my fear of washing my hair. I took a shower one night, closed my eyes tight, and didn't scream one time from burning my eyes. We've all experienced that one time in our life, right? I think I'm on my way. Every day I waited until the pool was empty, and I practiced hanging on to the sides, going deeper and deeper, but stopped before I could no longer touch the ground. Indeed, I was starting to improve, but I needed another something to give me an extra boost of courage. And then I found it. In 1901, Annie Taylor used a pickle barrel to go over the Niagara Falls. She was a schoolteacher, and 63 years of age. Annie was struggling with money and thought this would bring her fame. Unbelievably, she survived, becoming the first person to ever try that stunt. I would never be brave enough for that, but a 63 year old woman did this courageous thing. I was determined more than ever now. I practiced for about 3 weeks preparing myself for my debut. Everyone knew what I was doing because you can't keep a secret where I live. As I headed to the pool, and of course all of the neighborhood kids were there, I started to imagine ways to back out. I could say I had a leg cramp, I had water in my ears, I was grounded, or I had diarrhea. There was no backing out now. As I stepped up to the edge of the pool, I could feel myself Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Personal Narrative : My Dream Car It was the day before my seventeenth birthday. It was a cool saturday evening in March. My mother woke me up early that day telling me we are going to see my grandparents. My hair was a mess, tangles in my hair from rolling around at night restless trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. I struggled getting out of my warm, comfortable bed that swallowed my body and made it even harder to find motivation to get up. After a while of contemplating if getting out of bed was a good idea, my mom came back in and pulled the warm blanket off my body and yelled, with her restless voice, to get out of bed and start getting ready. When I finally started getting ready and putting on my make up, which is right after I get out of the shower, she came back in and ask if she could pick out my outfit. At first I thought it was weird and then I came up with a conclusion maybe she was doing this because of my birthday or so I can hurry up and we can leave sooner. As I got ready I was telling my parents about my dream car. It has been my dream to have a black beautiful, two door, four wheel drive, V6 engine, with silver rims, and wheels that are big enough to rock crawl in the mountains, for as far back as I can remember. During the time I was getting ready my father wasn't home. My mother told me he was at Walmart getting milk. I continued to explained to my mom that I would do anything to get my dream car. Last year I was devastated that I didn't get my dream car for my birthday, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Descriptive Essay On My Car As I exit the car, the sunshine meets my pasty white skin, breaking through the bitter chill of my body. Quickly, I hurry over to the driver's seat window. "Be sure to pick a juicy one," my mother says, just before kissing me on the forehead. Her bright cherry red lipstick brands my face as if to mark me. Her dark sunglasses masks the beauty of her eyes and her black bonnet prevents her curly dark hair from being exposed to the world. She rolls up the dark tinted windows before driving away secretly, being sure no one saw her and ensuring no one was following her. As a seven year old, I always thought it was odd that my mom would drop me off at the park alone, although she knows I can take care of myself. My small stature and light blonde...show more content... Although quite large, he did not seem intimidating but instead seemed kind and warm, similar to the warmth of the sun on this day. His face was elongated with a needle–like chin that could scare all kids he encounters yet, for some reason, I found it comforting. The thick brows on his eyes were unfurrowed and the scarce amount of hair he had, beyond his receding hairline, was the color of a grey cloud, flying low in the sky. "My name is Vladimir, how are you?" He asked. Entranced by the depth of his dark brown eyes, I was paralyzed from speaking. Normally, I find the presence of strangers to be unpleasing, like the drilling of a cavity at the dentist, but Vladimir's presence felt more like the sight of a rainbow after an evening rain. What is he talking about, I thought, knowing that my family does not have any friends. Still, something in Vladimir's voice sounded promising. "Hey, I have a puppy in my car. Would you like to meet him?" Vladimir asked. Enticed, I nod my head in agreement. He grabs my hand as we cheerfully pace towards the spot where my mother had dropped me off before, except my mother's black car was no longer present, and a red car rested there Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Descriptive Essay : My Dream In my dream, I am in a small boat in rough waters. It is a dark night, with a full moon, dark clouds filling the horizon. I am sitting in a small wooden boat in the ocean or large lake. I cannot see land in any direction. The waters are rough, with large waves rocking the boat. The waves are so rough they are causing water is spray into my face. I am afraid that the boat will tip over and I will drown. I hold on to the sides with both hands. Suddenly up ahead I can see large rocks in the water, large waves crashing against the dark gray slick sides. My boat is going to hit them. Suddenly I am traveling between the rocks standing stark and cold on both sides. My small boat travels between several of them and into a rushing river. I am full of dread, I will certainly sink and drown. I travel down the rushing river. There are high, dark cliffs on both sides. In the distance I can see the cliffs ending and the river disappearing out of my sight. As I travel closer and closer I can hear the sounds of a waterfall. I travel down the river, between the cliffs and over a large waterfall. I fall from a great height, walking up in my bed, still filling as though I will drown. Working With The Dream A small boat in rough water feels like I am out of control. Control is an allusion. It is dark and I do not know where I am or where I am going. • 10. Descriptive Essay About My First Car My first car My journey began on a spring day, when my boyfriend at that time–now my husband said that is right time to buy a car. Even though I was 23 at that moment, I had a feeling like I will be so independent despite the fact that from the age of 18 years old I didn't live with my parents ,I traveled in Europe by myself and I was already an independent person. In contrast with the US, in Russia the minimum age to drive a car is 18 years old, but there is no much in a car because the public transportation is cheaper and more convenient because it is close to every location that you may need as well as lack of parking spots that make parking seem endless. On the top of disadvantages, is the stereotype that the worst drivers in Russia are females? These were my reasons why I started to drive only at 23, the perfect age when I just moved to US. The thought that I will have a car, my own car, made me feel very confident in myself. Thinking about my future first car made me so happy like I was a child expecting for Christmas gifts, unwrapping the presents without any idea about what is inside of the box. Unlike a child, I knew what is inside of the box, something that suits my budget, around 2 or 3 thousand. I was searching a car not for its shape, color or model but by my budget. As every first car owner I wanted a car that will be cheap in maintenance, with the lowest gas mileage , new inside and outside and with a clean title. My dreams were destroyed very fast, at the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Descriptive Essay On A Car The car ride wasn't that long but it felt like forever. Once we got out of my familiar range of York my mind drifted off the anticipation but it still stayed close behind. The music coming from the car was blurred from my lack of attention to it. The sound of my dad's voice on another business call coming from the front was also put to the side as all my attention was intentivly directed to my phone. Scrolling through feeds and games the log eternity of the car ride drew more intense. Though it was only an hour or two, boredom set in unusually fast. My mom sat quietly in the passenger seat doing the same as I, mindlessly passing the time, ignoring the anticipation. The distinguished right turn that my dad knew not to miss changed to cars gravity to the left shifting everything with it. As we made our way closer to our destination the scenery started to look more like Nebraska then the Mason Dixon Line. The left turn onto the loud gravel driveway rumbled the car again as we pulled closer to the two house like buildings. The feelings grew stronger though I knew that it would be a while until the moment came. My mom was definitely the most excited of the three of us. She loved puppies. As we stepped out of the car a pickup truck pulled in behind us. We were both parked by a small building which I could see through the window was the info and paying register. This breeder is renowned for producing extremely high quality hunting dogs. This was the birthplace of our other dog Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My Dream Journal One of the best things I've done in my life is that I've constantly kept a dream journal. When I was only 14, I became interested in what dreams meant and ever since then I've taken my dreams very seriously. I use my dreams to help me understand what is going on in my life and what I need to do going forward. If you are not currently keeping a record of your dreams, let me list the reasons why you should take this dream journal challenge and start! 5 Reasons To Keep A Dream Journal 1. Others Can't Interpret Your Dreams For You Everyone wakes up from time to time and wonders 'what did that dream mean?' There are different places online you can go to get help to interpret your dreams. For instance, you can check out Dream Moods, type in 'ex–boyfriend' and get a pre–written response on what it means to dream about an ex–boyfriend. Some of the interpretation is pretty good, and I'm not saying that it might not be an accurate interpretation for you. However, there is a good chance that it's not. The dream may not just about your ex–boyfriend (or whatever you dreamt about) and some generic interpretations. In fact, there may be something else in the dream, such as a place or feeling, that is the real focus of the dream and why you are having it. When you keep a dream journal, you can write down all those little parts of the dream that make up the whole, and as you go over your dream you may find that the dream is more about something else than what you originally thought. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious houses but I was always satisfied with mine. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant them. After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll sit in the living room and watch television together. My living room is probably the coziest place in my house. The walls are partially decorated with pieces of wood. It resembles the interior of a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear, peach, cherry, apricot, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Personal Narrative : Buying My First Car Buying my first Car At the age of 17 all I could think about was having a car. I should have known the car was a lemon because of the price. There is an old saying "you get what you pay for". While out shopping for cars one day, I just so happen to pass by a car dealer that sold used cars. I stopped in and talked to the sales man on duty. I explained to him that I never bought a car before and was looking for one I could purchase for $250. He took me to the back of the lot where they stored cars that had been reposed from owners that could not make their payments. There he showed me a 1965 Oldsmobile and explained how this was the only car he could sell me in that price, he went on to explain how he really should sell it for $400 but because it was my first buy he would sell it to me for $250. I looked around the lot for other cars that may have been a bit nicer, there were a few but they all had much bigger price tags. This was the only one he had for $250 although I should have known there maybe problems with that car, because of the price, it was my first car and I wanted it. Next, I should have known the car was a lemon when I seen the Exterior. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
