“I manage around
fifteen people”
Tell us about your career at SPIE.
Ali Limouri: In June 2016, there were job vacancies in the commercial sector in Toulouse
and I was hired by SPIE Sud-Ouest as a senior Project Manager. Then in January 2017, I was
offered a job as Activity Manager in the Housing department of one of SPIE Sud-Ouest’s
subsidiaries, ENELAT, in the west of France.
What are your duties?
A.L.: In my opinion, an Activity Manager has four fundamental responsabilities: customer
orientation, maintaining consistent margins, the quality of work and employees’ commitment.
My role is to ensure the economic development of the subsidiary’s Housing department and
to be the main point of contact for customers and our teams. Each day, I manage around
fifteen people. My position involves being able to motivate my teams, being a good manager,
having good business relations and a sense of priorities and responsibilities, and finally being
able to respond very quickly.
What do you like most about your profession?
A.L.: I like the fact that I get to do a lot of different things from a technical, commercial or
relational standpoint. My job is mainly based on relationships. Between Design offices,
architects, developers and suppliers, I’m in contact with a wide variety of people. It’s very
rewarding!
