2. My Thriller and how it will be
distributed?
We have decided as a group that our film Timor
will be an independent British film ad will be
distributed by small distribution companies such
as Summit Entertainment (E1 Entertainment)
3. Festivals as a way of exposure and
promotion
Festivals are a good way to have independent
films watched by film distribution companies as it
helps showcase talent. Even if the film does not
agree with the audience the film makers still get
exposer and recognition from just submitting their
film.
There are many popular film festivals but the most
well known is the Big Three which is located in
Cannes, Venice, Berlin.
4. Timor’s release pattern and plan
As my thriller ‘Timor’ is a low budget
independent film with the age rating of 15, it
we have chosen that it will be released into
independent cinemas such as Picture House
and will have 1-2 screens.
5. Release Date
It will be released around the summer holidays
when most people around the age of 15 and up
will be having breaks from their education and
work lives.
