19. Choosing a template
You can choose a template
from the “templates” tab on
the left hand menu bar.
To search for a specifically
themed template, use the
search bar on the left.
Templates can be edited
and personalised.
20. Premium (paid for) elements
There are thousands of free
elements to choose from on Canva,
to create your bespoke poster.
There are also some elements that
are only available on “premium” or
“pro” accounts.
These are noticeable by the
“Canva” watermark.
22. Editing on Canva
Most content can be edited
and personalised.
For example:
● color
● text
● font
● illustrations
● icons
● layout
23. To edit the font, click on a selection of text in your template
and use the top left menu options.
24. Copying an element/icon
To copy an element in your
poster, such as an image or
graphic, select the element
and click “duplicate” in the
top right hand corner menu.
This will create a duplicate in
your template.
25. Layering an element
To layer elements over one
another, simply select the
element you want to
position and click “position”
in the top right hand corner
menu.
Select “backward” if you
want the element to sit
“behind” another.
26. Uploading your own images
Click “uploads” in the left
hand menu to upload your
own images which you can
use in templates
