PROJECT TITLE: “Decoupled Stationary Reference frame PLL for Interconnecting 
Renewable Energy Systems to the Grid” 
Platform: Renewable Energy Systems and Power Electronics 
Duration: Dec’2013-Oct ‘2014 
Précis: The control strategies are typically based on a fast and accurate 
detection of the phase angle of the grid voltage which may be estimated by using a Phase- 
Locked Loop (PLL) control circuit. In this project we investigates the performance of 
three different PLLs: a synchronous reference frame PLL (dq PLL), a stationary 
reference frame PLL (αβ PLL), and a decoupled double synchronous reference frame 
PLL (DDSRF PLL). The proposed decoupled stationary reference frame PLL (dαβ PLL) 
may be an appropriate solution to use in an interconnected RES with Fault Ride Through 
(FRT) capability.
B.tech Project 
Project title: “Performance Improvement in Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor 
Using Artificial Intelligent Techniques” 
Platform: Electrical machines 
Duration: Dec’11-May’08 
Précis: Direct Torque Control (DTC) is one of the most excellent control 
strategies of torque and flux control in induction machine. It is considered as a better 
alternative to the field oriented control (FOC) or vector control technique. In this project 
work we replace the conventional selector switches statement of voltage inverter by a 
selector based ANN which is able to manage in the same way the switches states, with 
out resorting to complex programming. The speed loop regulation is carried out by a 
fuzzy controller giving exceeding performance in comparison with a classic PI regulator.
