ENGINEERINGPROJECTS
Simulation of Active & Passive Suspension Systems (2014 – Present)
Apply solid electrical engineering knowledge toward developing a comprehensive mathematical model for both
suspension systems, includingsuccessfully simulatingsystems in MATLAB / Simulink to verify design feasibility.
Human Pupil Servomechanism (2014)
Effectively designed and built statespacemodels with external lightflux as input and retinal lightflux as output.
Led implementation of closed loop design and actively checked for key stability, controllability, and observability.
Successfully designed a state feedback controller, a full-order observer, and a reduced-order observer based on real
time analysisto stabilizethesystem which was instrumental in further meetingor exceeding projectobjectives.
Discrete – Time Analysis & Modeling of Z-Source Converter (2013 – 2014)
Capitalized on the opportunity to achieve an impedance-source converter used in electric hybrid vehicle as a buck-
boost DC / DC converter, including developing circuit algorithm with small signal model and state space averaging, as
well as usingPSIM/ MATLAB to build schematics and transfer function blocks with identical results.
2013 International Future Energy Challenge – High Efficiency Micro-Inverter for PV Panels (2012 – 2013)
Strategically steered the transformation of solar energy into AC to feed it back to the grid with high-efficiency up to
95% usingMaximumPower PointTracking(MPPT),PWM(Pulse Width Modulation),and PLL(PhaseLock Loop).

ENGINEERINGPROJECTS (CONTINUED)
Collected PV panel output voltage, boosted voltage to a higher level using a pair of interleaved flyback converters,
and synchronized the output with the grid, along with developing a main circuit control algorithm and PCB layout
and soldering components onto a PCB board and further programming microcontrollers (disPIC) and generating
schematics usingCAD and MATLAB and PSIMfor testing of each stage.
