Cook a meal using organic foods
Procedure
In the activity on May 25, 2018 the students in class 5C and some of the parents
participated.
Part I
To begin with, the teacher introduced students to the activity, using the warmer “About
mixtures” and eliciting ideas from students. Then the topic of the new lesson is
introduced: "The Importance of organic products for people"

The teacher, pupils and parents discussed about healthy foods, the pupils presented their
projects about organic products and their benefits for people’ health.
Part II
The pupils were organised in teams and they brought different organic products to
the class, to use them for cooking their own recipes. One team prepared fruit salad,
another one made fruit juice, the third one made pancakes filled with fruit jam, and the
fourth team prepared a „Brownie”cake, using little sugar.
One pupil’s mother, who is a cook, helped all the pupils in class.
