Home Hardware – Parkhill Ontario
From stocking shelves to sending and receiving shipments, I gained many skills and experiences
working at Home Hardware. I had many responsibilities, such as daily opening and closing, and
face-checking stock. My knowledge of retail, sales, delivery, yard maintenance, as well as the
lumber industry has vastly improved over my time as a Lumberyard hand.

Provided a variety of on-call/ occasional work cleaning and maintaining agricultural buildings
with various responsibilities. Some of which were feeding and transporting livestock such as
pigs, cows and chickens as well as bailing hay.

Peterborough, Ontario
Trained and worked as a part time fry cook, learning many new concepts and skills that come
with the fast paced branch of the service industry. My shifts generally consisted of food prep,
cooking with industrial grade appliances, and cleaning dishes and equipment. Other skills I
gained were the proper sanitization and cleaning of hands, food, equipment, and material
consistently through shifts; ensuring the highest level of care in the cleanliness of foods and
services.

Worked in a team aiming to provide quick and friendly customer service, through collaboration
and cohesion with co-workers. Working at Kawartha dairy immensely developed my ability to
work effectively in a team, as drive through, cashier, and servers rely on each other to keep up
during the summer rush.

Facilitated learning through exploration and play based activities, stimulating creativity and
imagination. Carefully monitored children's play activities and helped to discipline and
recommended other measures to correct poor behavior. Collaborated with other leaders to
educate children on countries around the world through games, crafts, music, and foods.

Gained a vast knowledge of Microsoft office suites and internet telephone operations, and how
they are applied to meet both customer and business needs. Maintained and organized
paperwork and other important documents for night audits, community events, housekeeping,
maintenance, the arrival or departure of local and international students. Successfully provided
friendly and efficient customer service at the front desk in a variety of tasks, such as taking
payments, checking residents in or out, and effectively communicating with coworkers keeping
up to date on issues within the building.
