anxious, scared, titired.ex- Dopamine, GABA, noradrenaline
etc
Examples Of common psychoactive drugs are caffeine,
cocaine, cannabis, ephedrine etc

Depressants
Narcotics

Range from nicotine and caffeine tI coccaine and crystal meth
Block the reabsorption of neurotransmitters. Ex:- serotonin,
and dopamine (which can lead to Increased energy, panic
and anxiety.

Increase the production of neurotransmitters GABA(gamma
amino butyiric acid)
Which decrease reaction in brain.
Affects cognition impairing memory.
GABA neurotransmitter bind to receptor that receive the
chemical signals leading to reduced nervous system activity
and inducing sleep
6. 3.Narcotics
These are addictive drugs which affects mood or
behavior an illegal drugs.
Administered as painkillers , cough depressant and as
active components.
Use recreationally to create sense of euphoria
Example:- Morphine, heroin, cocaine etc
7. 4.Hallucinogens
They trick the brain into seeing or hearing things that aren’t
there actually.
Warps a person sence of time and space.
These altered states of consciousness can lead to paranoia
and anxiety.
Ex:- Includes LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide), Mescaline and
ecstasy.

Pscychoactive drug are via oral ingestion as a tablet,
capsules, powder, liquid.
Via injection by subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous
route
