That’s where Sheridan’s Career Ready
program is here to help you succeed.
As the world of work is constantly changing
and as the labour market continues to be
competitive, employers are looking for
graduates who can stand out and adapt.
Career Ready was created with the needs of Sheridan’s students in mind
and made possible by a generous donation from RBC Future Launch.

 Workshops to help you discover your career
direction as well as find and keep the job you want
 Finding meaningful out-of-classroom experiences to
build your resume
 Mentorship activities that will grow your network
 Accessing resources to support you in your job
search upon graduation
Career Ready is a self-directed program that engages you in:

Career Ready
program and
you will receive
a Certificate of
Completion
from Sheridan
and RBC.
Participation in the Career Ready program is optional, participants can opt out of the program at

The Career Ready program encourages students to connect
with a mentor because the experience can positively impact:
• the career goals you set for yourself
• your ability to find work upon graduation
Mentors are people who want to share
with you their 'real world' knowledge and
advice to help get you career ready upon
graduation!

Sheridan students to find a mentor!
Using Sheridan Connect will allow you to quickly
expand your network, get connected and engaged
with professionals in your field of interest!

Sheridan Connect is an online platform that allows Sheridan students to
exclusively connect with Sheridan alumni, faculty and staff.
Everyone who is using Sheridan Connect wants to connect with you!

1. Go to the Sheridan Connect website -- https://sheridanconnect.ca/
2. Create a Sheridan Connect account and set up your student profile.
3. Browse the Directory or Mentoring tab to view profiles of alumni.
• You can refine your search by filtering by search by industry, organization, and/or
location
• Select the alumna/alumnus who you would like to be your mentor.
• Send a request by clicking “Request mentorship”.
• Write a message introducing yourself and explain why you are requesting mentorship.
How to get started on Sheridan Connect:

Sheridan Connect
You may only send one (1)
request for mentorship at a time.
The alumna/alumnus will receive your
message and respond.
If the alumna/alumnus accepts
your request, begin corresponding
with them to schedule your first
meeting.
If the alumna/alumnus declines your
request, browse the alumni directory to
find another alumna/alumnus you would
be interested in being mentored by.
