This document summarizes a role as a Senior Oracle DBA from January 2008 to April 2010 at JAZZ Semiconductors. Role: Sr. Oracle DBA
Databases monitoring and management via third party tools and other associated tools.
Maintenance of the databases (Oracle, RAC, Data Guard, etc..) running on servers with
optimal storage space.
Ensure on-going maintenance of the databases including database performance, tuning,
and capacity planning
Database Migration, Upgrades and Patching
Administering backup-recovery, schemas, user and security procedures
Database Cloning / Refresh
Organize the creation and administration of developer accounts and access privileges
for databases
Provide guidance in application and other databases tuning (SQL, RAC, etc..)
Support IT Infrastructure staff, developers, and other systems analysts in developing
efficient application designs and provide the necessary support
Assists developers and other systems analysts to make changes to database
management systems
Mentoring / Provide assistance and guidance on all database inquires, train team
members, and provide databases solutions and answers.
Assign tasks to the team members
Handling tickets / requests
Adhering to SLAs
Prepares and maintains documentation, technical reports, and provides follow up status
on related activities, tasks and SLA’s assigned to team members.
