5. Fan Chi Sau (1911-1991)
Northern Shaolin Long Fist
Fan Chi Sau competed and fought in the National Martial Arts Examinations and earned one of three fiercely contested spots allotted to his home province of Shandong for admittance into the elite NANJING GUOSU INSTITUTE where he learned the Long Fist style.
Master Fan was taught his family style “Hongquan” by his Grandfather Fan Zhen Bang.

The Taiwanese Long Fist forms were added to the Long fist curriculum by later Masters in Taiwan. These sequences are different from the original curriculum taught in the capital city of Nanjing in 1928

8. 4Categories of Skill in Kung Fu
Chinese Martial Arts include four types of fighting techniques
•Ti (kick) used to counter lock
•Da (strike) used to counter lock
•Shuai (Wrestle) used to counter kick and strike
•Na (Lock) used to counter wrestling
Each category can be used to counter another
9. Southern Shaolin Hung Ga
Master Chang learned the Five Animals Hung Ga from the famous Hung Fist master LIN JIA KUN.
Master Chang taught the Five Animals Kung Fu style to Chen ShueiTsai.
Master Chang is famous for his skill with the Drunken style, Monkey and Snake Styles.

10. Lin Jia Kun’s Hung Ga
Hung Ga is the largest of the southern kung fustyles and is considered the King of Southern Kung Fu.
The 5-Animals Hung Ga is the closest representation of the classical southern Shaolin Temple style.
There are many branches of the Hung Family Kung Fu.
Master Chen ShueiTsai taught Lin JiaKun’sbranch of Hung Ga which is the southern style of kung futaught at Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute.

11. Northern Long Fist and Southern 5-Animals
Master Chen first learned the 5-Animals Hung Ga from Chang KeChi
As a young boy in the late 1960’s.
He later learned Northern Shaolin Long Fist from Fan Chi Sau in the 1970’s.
Master Chen was known for his kung fuskill and was appointed as the
Chief Master of the Taipei Chinese Kung Fu Association by the Chairman
Dr. Huang Sian Teh. This position placed Master Chen in charge of physical kung futraining at the Association where he taught a curriculum of Northern Shaolin Long Fist and Southern Five Animals as well as Chi Kung and eighteen traditional weapons.
Chen ShueiTsai taught Master Silvio Azzoliniat the Taipei Kung Fu Association in the early 1980’s and accepted him as a closed door student and disciple.

20. Huang Sian Teh
1919-2013
Huang Sian Tehwas appointed Chairman of the Taipei Martial Arts Associationin 1951. He was Chairman of the Association in the 1980’s and appointed Chen ShueiTsai as Head Instructor and Chief Master of Kung Fu Training during Master Azzolini’stime there. Chen ShueiTsai was Master Azzolini’steacher. Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute is a member of Taipei Martial Arts Association. Mr. Huang Sian Tehborn 1919, Fujian, was five years old when his uncle began to teach him the martial arts. He served in the army as a General during WWII. He was granted honorary Professor of Martial Arts by the Netherlands Royal Academy of Martial Arts. Huang Sian Tehdedicated his life to promoting Chinese martial arts through the Taipei Chinese Martial Arts Association where he served as President. His vision was of passing along the old ways of morality, respect and hard work through Chinese martial arts to the young. Mr. Huang Sian Tehpromoted Confucianism and martial arts throughout his life. Huang Sian Tehwas a Taiwan national treasure.
