2. Hieroglyph
▪ The ancient Egypt developed a pictorial writing
system called Hieroglyphics
▪ About 5000 years ago Egyptians created this
hieroglyphics
▪ They are the pictures that meant word or
combination of two picture mean a word
sometimes
▪ The Egypt called them Dominic scripts

▪ More than 2000 hieroglyph were present at
that time.
▪ Hieroglyphics could represent the sound of the
objects
▪ The origin of this symbols are mostly unknow

The Egyptians took most vowels for granted
and didn’t repeated them

good things done for people and priests

▪ People who has attended 5 years of school to
read and write hieroglyphics
▪ Mostly men use to be scribes but some expert
found that there was a women who learn to be
a doctor.
▪ Scribes people use to keep records of
government and wrote letter for the pharaohs.

10. Papyrus
▪ How Egyptians use to write on that time?
▪ A plant called papyrus use for writing after
cutting into thin layer and mallet
▪ Reed pens were dipped in ink and then use for
writing.
▪ A pigmented power mixed with water and
form that ink.This ink was commonly red or
black

11. Ceremonial Writing
▪ Hieroglyphics are use for permanent message
▪ Believed that this text help them to guide in
afterlife
▪ Created in 196 BC and discovered by French in
1799
▪ Caved inscriptions on monuments ,buildings
and tombs
