Please welcome Sandy Tedt, sr PM at Scout to the stage to walk us through what we’ve done over the past year
And where we’re going this year
pipeline was expanding - more complex projects around events.
Even more to my surprise, several of you decided that you could manage your contracts within Scout.
Like any good musician, you improvised. And it was a tune we could get behind!
We’ve always set out to focus on the sourcing team, and while that touches many areas of the business, our focus remains to help your teams do more, faster, and engage the business better.
strategic partner for your business – requests -manage RFPs , strategic category planning, tracking towards savings goals, easily transition from sourcing to contracting.
Again we learned from you. I heard your struggles to even find contracts and gain access to information that your teams needed. 60% of work managing renewalsNot only a repository, but that collaboration platform to engage with your stakeholders – now with legal.
Approvals – Version Control Coming
While Scout Contracts helps streamline the source to contract process and will help you stay ahead of or auto-renewals and expirations, we know this isn’t the end, it’s in fact, just the beginning.
We introduced Supplier Performance reviews last year at Spark! so you could engage the business and both qualitative and quantitatively assess suppliers.
Learned from you iterated
early concept around reviewing suppliers, engage the business in a consistent conversation, to accurately review and compare vendors and most importantly pull in all the necessary people to review and approve.
We now want to help you onboard new suppliers, and ensure that you work with vendors that are within your risk tolerance, that represent the diversity and fair business practices that are important to your company culture and ensure they meet your security requirements or even quality guidance.
Over the next year we’ll be focusing on delivering a unified platform to manage supplier relationships, to help you quickly identify those that are critical to your business and manage them better as well as to, quickly onboard new providers and ensure ongoing compliance audits***

Alex - incredibly excited to invite our first guest on stage - Jeff I - quick bio
7 months ago I was fortunate enough to join the amazing team
I’ve doubled the Engineering organization and created a Data Team dedicated to making integrations a first class component of the Scout solution
Sandy has already shown you our Docusign Integration and how you can connect Scout Reports to Tableu and PowerBI
But there was some argument between Chris and myself about what this team should do next
But as you can all see from the Shiner on Chris face, I won. So let me tell you about what the Data team has been working on
As Alex, Jeff Immelt, and other discussed yesterday, we all live connected world – there is an information supply chain along with the physical one
Supplier data in particular is spread across many systems
How do we deal with issues of having suppliers across Scout, Vendor Master, p2p, 3rd Party Risk Management, and Spend Analytics?
With the recently release Supplier API, enterprises can push suppliers in and then pull supplier information back out to synchronize all of their data
One great benefit of using the Supplier API is the ability to eliminate duplicates. Scout can understand your external Vendor Id and help ensure no two suppliers have the same value
You can also update suppliers in Scout so you know who is already set up as a vendor in your ERP and who require a little extra work to get onboarded
If you have a 3rd party risk management tool, you can use our new API to push alerts and status changes to Scout Supplier Profiles to ensure its always up to date
Scout Projects are a key way of making sure we can realize the savings we plan for.
In Q2 we will release a Projects API where you will be able to create Projects from ServiceNow, Salesforce, Workday, SAP, Oracle, and Spend Analytics Partners
I’m an engineer and can see how I would use this API to connect with JIRA
But Chris, how do you think customers would use it?
If your legal team has mandated the use of specific contract management tools, Scout wants to work with them
In Q2 we will also release a Contracts API that will allow enterprises to connect Scout to Apptus, iCertis, Workday, Sap, and Oracle
Chris, given your condition, I suggest you use this to connect Heathcare providers, but how do you foresee customers using the Contracts API?
Unfortunately APIs require IT. Chris, procurement departments never have problems procuring IT resources, do they?
We want to solve that problem by releasing an iPaaS connector next quarter using technologies like SnapLogic, Mulesoft, Boom.
With Scout connectors you will be able to literally drag and drop integrations between Scout APIs and external systems, eliminating the need for IT to create custom integrations
So please grab me today if you would like to talk more about Integrations, or feel free to reach out to your Customer Service Manager and get a link to the Supplier API docs
I’ve been spending all this time taking Roadmap, but we haven’t talked about the RFP in Scout RFP. Chris, can you fix that?
From the park in Austin
We fell in love with Sourcing and the RFP

High level. Let’s dive deep with Jason Waller
Jason is a Solution Manager at McKinsey & Company he has a wealth of experience analyzing bids across industries and categories
C: Walk me through what actually happens – bids come back then what?
C: That sounds like it adds a ton of value but is also a ton of work.
How do you expand that value?
[blank] I’m a little too impatient for this
I want that value but I don’t have a team of analysts
Today I’m incredibly excited to introduce
Scout DNA – available March 6th
Next week
Optimize your negotiation
Do more with Scout
We took that timeline and compressed it
Let’s put DNA to the test
Can we help you do more with Scout?
[Set stage]
Packaging RFP has just come back let’s get in and follow Jason’s timeline but a little faster
PAUSE!
CA – Zoom out on the data
SB – Once your supplier have their best offers
optimize for the masses
SA – Tradeoffs between scenarios not just savings
Fine tune your award
We’re replacing the horsepower, not your experience
Too many analytics tools work for analysts, not humans
3 Pillars
Sourcing – stage
Pipeline – auditorium for stakeholders
SRM – amplify your voice throughout the enterprise
APIs – we’re building for a connected world
