Meaning
The most ordinary meaning is captured in the expression
"anytime, anywhere" learning. In contemporary market, the
instantaneous and highly customizable availability of services and
information is becoming a standard branding device.
Definition of U-Learning
According to Lyytinen and Yoo(2002), "The evolution
of ubiquitous computing has been accelerated by the improvement
of wireless telecommunication capabilities, apen networks, continued increase in
computing power, improved battery technology, and the emergence of
flexible software architectures".

Features of U-learning
1) System continuously senses the learner's location
and its surrounding and stores the information into
database. 2)Based on the environment situation it provides
right information at right time in right way.
3)System is independent of change in a network while the user in
a motion
4)System adapts the requirement of the platform that is being
used by the learner.
5)Learner never loses his work; it is being stored into the
database permanently
6)Real time streaming provides better quality services
Advantages
1) Helps learner to improve literacy and numeric skills
2) Helps learners to recognize their existing ability
3) Can be used for independent and collaborative learning
4) Experience helps learners toidentify where they need assistance
5) HElps to make learning
6) Helps learner to be more focused for longer period
7) Helps to rise self-esteem and self-confidence
8)comaratively more achieved with other thechnologies
The Proposed Characteristics of U-learning
Permanency: Learners never lose their work unless it is purposefully deleted. In
addition, all the learning processes are recorded contineously everyday
Accessibility: Learners have access to their documents, data, or videos from
anywhere. That information is provided based on their requests. Therefore, the learning
involved is self-directed.
immediacy: Wherever learners are, they can get any information immedddiately.
Interactivity: Learners can interact with experts, teachers, or peers in the form of
syncronies or asynchronous communication.
Adaptability: Learners can get the right information at the right place with the right way
