3. BJP(Bharatiya Janata Party) and Indian
National Congress
BJP is one of two major political parties in India, along with the Indian National
Congress. It has been the ruling political party of the Republic of India since
2014. The BJP is a right-wing party, and its policy has historically reflected Hindu
nationalist positions. It has close ideological and organizational links to the much
older Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). As of 2020, it is the country's largest
political party in terms of representation in the national parliament and state
legislatures.
The Indian National Congress (abbr. INC), colloquially the Congress Party but
often simply Congress, is a political party in India with widespread roots. Founded
in 1885, it was the first modern nationalist movement to emerge in the British
Empire in Asia and Africa. From the late 19th century, and especially after 1920,
under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, Congress became the principal leader
of the Indian independence movement. Congress led India to independence from
the United Kingdom, and powerfully influenced other anti-colonial nationalist
movements in the British Empire. Due to its enduring history, the Congress is
often called the "grand old party".
4. Indian National Lok Dal and Jannayak
Janta Party
Indian National Lok Dal(INDL) is a political party in India, in the state
of Haryana. INLD was founded in October 1996 as Haryana Lok Dal
by Choudhary Devi Lal, who served as Deputy Prime Minister of India in
the V.P. Singh's Cabinet and Chief Minister of Haryana twice. His son Om
Prakash Chautala is the President. Former Leader of Opposition, Abhay Singh
Chautala is Secretary general of INLD.
The Jannayak Janta Party, abbreviated as, JJP is an Indian state-
level political party in Haryana, India. JJP is a recognized state political party.
JJP was founded on 9 December 2018 by Dushyant Chautala with the
ideology of Devi Lal, who served as Deputy Prime Minister of India. Based on
the ideology of Jat solidarity and socialism, JJP is very strong and popular in
some parts of Haryana.
