1. Commercial Radio Show Review
I think that this show is suitable for the target audience as all the music that was played was
according to the genre and was recurrent music. There were a few fairly newer songs which
have been popular since they were released. Also the artist themselves are recurrent artists
as they’ve got some really popular old songs which still play regularly. I know Chase and
Status was played, most people would think that they would not fall under the genre of the
show. But I believe that they do as they’re drum and Bass and they usually play festivals
such as Download, Leeds Reading… etc. So I didn’t see it as a problem by playing it.
I think that the technical quality of this show went a lot better than the previous one.
However there was one certain bit where there was about 8seconds dead air, this was
purely caused by technical issues as the computer stalled. But like I said I’m pretty sure it
was in better quality than the last show.
I think thechat sections where defiantly better than the previous show purely because I
knew more what I was talking about and felt more comfortable with what I was saying.
There were a few parts where the speech could’ve been improved but I thought I was
overall pretty good.
I thought the chat was okay and I loved the choice of music played it was so relevant to the
show. Also the jingles were defiantly better than the ones on the In Store Show.
The speech could maybe be improved, not the by what I spoke about and how long I spoke
for but the nerves, I think if I didn’t rush so much and feel like I’m going on with myself I
would be better.
