Enhancing Worker Digital Experience: A Hands-on Workshop for Partners
Lab Activity 3.pdf
1. 1. Discuss the importance of hardware and software components in the implementation
of informatics in healthcare
Hardware components of a computer such as operations of the central processing unit
(CPU), as well as input, output, and storage devices, to name a few. With today's
advancing and more complex technology, it is important to have a basic understanding
of the tools and technology that are used to provide high-quality and safer patient care.
It provides essential computer concepts and components including the hardware, which,
in turn, provides the foundational understanding of computers and the relation to
nursing informatics (NI) and information literacy and science. It provides examples of
the main parts of a computer and how they function, integrating NI competencies and
skills in order to link nurses to technology. With a better understanding of the computer
basics, nurses can better grasp how to retrieve, organize, process, and manage data
and information. Their applications are expected to continue to expand and thereby
improve the quality of health care while at the same time reducing some costs. Most
important, the applications of computer hardware to health care will greatly expand the
diagnostic and therapeutic abilities of practitioners and broaden the options available to
recipients of health care.
The software from medical, where the former pertains to patient care and experience,
and the latter to diagnosis and treatment optimization. Considered as such, these
software solutions are developed to improve the patient experience by streamlining
communication between hospitals, patients, pharmacies and other healthcare suppliers,
digitizing patient record storage, appointment scheduling, prescriptions, drug ordering
and delivery, and improving hospital management processes including logistics and
CRM.
Software needs to work seamlessly with medical equipment and digital health records to
improve both patient care and reduce costly expenses. However, the experience
patients have can affect their loyalty to the practice, which adds new pressures on
technical teams to ensure the user journey is smooth.
The importance of software components is with every new release is essential to make
sure it is bug-free and provides an enjoyable user journey. Automating this process
removes the chance of manual error and allows professionals to focus on more
rewarding work. A modern testing approach can be used across numerous applications
along with continuously monitoring performance to spot and address any issues before
they can impact the organization.
